In fairness to him, I'm sure he was approached with this question, and didn't go out of his way to address it.

The thing about the whole controversy is this: the NHL didn't just decide they were going to do away with warmup jerseys for one theme. They decided they were going to do away with them all. And yet, only one group is making noise about it. All the rest have pretty much said "yeah, we're disappointed, but we'll figure something else out".

The other thing is this. If the goal is supposedly to "raise awareness" for these causes, mission accomplished, because starting with Hockey Fights Cancer Night in November, the media is inevitably going to be pulling up headlines about how the league no longer wears the warmup jerseys instead of the same "feel good" stories they come out with every year. There's actually going to be some substance around them instead of the same recycled grandstanding year after year. The same will go for Pride Night, and Military Appreciation Night, and whatever other theme they have.

if the reason they lost these 2 games is due to the style the rangers and islanders play, then we have a development guy behind the bench, not an nhl head coach

Until they fix what's in front of there goalie's it won't matter who's in net. Really looks like they will have to outscore teams again. If you are taking that route replace Olofsson with Savoie and give Krebs Biro and Rousek on his Wings and let's push the pace. See who can keep up and who can't. Maybe pushing the pace could keep the puck out of are zone a bit too.

I'd contend that his value is truly negative regardless of contract amount.

Don hinted this morning that he'll be making some changes if necessary. It's a read into it comment, as he discussed getting Cozens going and Peterka playing well without mentioning VO, which to me is his implied target. He doesn't want to ruin chemistry with pairs, and Mitts line is doing real damage, and the Thompson line is getting chances. So you're left with swapping Jost for VO, riding VO till Savoie, or letting Krebs sit up there, which is something I don't think they want to do.

Edit. They did it. Olofsson 0 minutes tonight as was hinted at this morning. And they put Krebs in his spot, my guess is because that line has been awful.

It's amazing I have to explain this.. but it's not about those guys specifically

It's about the fact that they added top 6/9 NHL talent to the roster, and they're getting top 6/9 results.

Yerdon had Casey and Cozens line swapped. My opinion they deserve to be.

Only took 2 games this time around to boot Void Olofsson. Hopefully now that line has 3 forwards trying instead of 2.
