It's a bit different than that. Space is supposed to feel very vast and by making fast travelling the same as Fallout, they made it feel all interconnected and rather small. Remember, you never actually explore anything. You just get a quest on a planet, click the map and you're in orbit around the destination, then hit a pinpoint to take you directly to that location. In comparison, in Fallout, you had to at least find a place before you could simply fast travel to and from it. So naturally it felt more realistic and connected, since you were actually finding something. In Starfield, since you can't explore, the fast travelling makes everything feel small and yet disjointed at the same time. I shouldn't be able to get a quest, travel to an unknown planet in 2 seconds, kill the bad guy, and be returned within 5 feet of the quest giver. Make me run to my ship...make me takeoff or lander the fooker...or at least let me fly around space and find some asteroid or moon to land on. You can literally see all the planets laid out upon download. It leaves little to the imagination,to the dismay of many per reviews. - QuinnFan
I had the same exact problem with Outer Worlds.
Sci-fi is just hard to do in videogames when you add space to the mix.
I like how Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and subsequent games like Jedi Fallen Order have done. Once you select a location, there’s a significant amount of dialogue and story that get told on the ship as you travel. It makes that much of a difference in adding to the scale and it takes no effort. Literally just progress the story on the ship or make the traveling take some time or have some action.

Exactly!!! There are some great parts to that game, I wonder if it was just console restrictions causing cuts. - QuinnFan
No, it’s poor directing. They did everything - created a universe and characters and wrote a story, but the game has poor direction.
There’s no narrative arc. There’s no sense of the vastness of space. There’s no sense of scale. There’s no stakes. No imminent threat, no resource issues, no poverty, no struggle.

I lovvvvve it. When it came out it was super buggy, but it is the console version of WoW now. It is expensive to play though, you're right, really $30/month for live and the membership to get access to everything. I just play in the cold weather months and cancel in April once I'm working outside again.
As I said, easily amused lol. What do you play? - QuinnFan
Pubg(BR) Rocket League which if you haven't played is probably the toughest game to be even slightly decent at IMO.
Not much else anymore. Bought Starfield, finished one of the main side quests to get the Star Eagle Ship or whatever its called and then went on a trip and haven't touched it since.
Im the opposite of you, Im easily let down by games.
What do you expect to get for UPL/Comrie? Does the return help them this season? You're likely to get a mid round pick that will take 3-6 years if they ever develop.
The other option is send one of them down and they get claimed by Tampa.
Does not hurt us by holding them so at this point it's not a big deal. - Zschalberg
Of course it hurts them. We were close to seeing Bryson tonight. One minor injury from VO going back in. Wasting a roster spot has an impact.
On this day in 1986 Lindy Ruff had an excellent backcheck... - Theguywiththething
Speaking of Lindy, I was listening to to ATW today and it seems as though Rivet doesn’t really like Ruff. He was talking about not fighting for lindy in his last year here because lindy was always benching him and putting him in press box.
Any more to the story?
I just started listening to the ATW podcast bc I actually have a feint bit of hope for this season.

Went down to the ECHL 2 years later and still fvckin sucked. Tied his 4th highest NHL pt total at 24. Guy was a fvckin pylon by the time he came to Buff. And he wsnt much better the rest of his career.

Definitely a steep learning curve on rocket league. Was a life long NHLer untill I downloaded that game. I will never go back
I miss the days of drop in 6v6 with lobbies and being able to wear a team jersey. Never had the time or care to play club as I was always a serious VS player. A good 6v6 lobby was the best though nothing could beat that
RL is as close as it gets, no computer animation crap to get in the way, its all about how you can control the car and play with teammates

I'm still stuck on NHL ;x
haven't played EASHL much since the guys I played with and I have gone our seperate ways so I just sim Franchise and (frank) with HUT from time to time. Had a year or two where I was very competitive in HUT as free to play but since the kids I have not the time to commit and I refuse to spend money on packs.
RL is pretty dope and reminds me of a game I used to play as a kid which is basically a 2d RL w/ space ships but you could also hold the ball until another ship hit you which made it a bit easier than dribbling and what not. I log into both every once in awhile but RL isn't exactly like riding a bike and I have lost most of my touch.

Yea I used to be pretty into hut, always loved building a team up. Never spent money just would grind for the pucks. A lot of time wasted not actually playing the game lol
By 19/20 I was back to VS pretty much full time. Bought 21 but didn't play it much as that was the year I downloaded rocket league
