Why the challenge and possibly go shorthanded with 45 seconds left instead of playing it out with 6 seconds left |

It wasn’t a challenge. Late in games those calls are made from the Toronto command center. |

Big Win! Lots of positives.A really solid game for a lot of guys. |

It was nice to see our best defenseman play like he was sober today, he didn't fall down once on his own tonight. Still don't like his turnovers but at least his head was in the game tonight. |

That was pretty cool to see Kaiser in there with 5 minutes left playing his ass off.
Zaitsev looked better than Tinordi, at least that's the way i see it now.
Korchinski is one of those players that make this game look easy. He just flows all over the ice. At one point he was on the rush then he turns around and is the first guy back in his own zone.
And Vlasic looks like he's going to be a beast to play against, i love his move when the forward attacks him he just passes it to himself along the boards and walks right in to the front of the net.
Still would like KK on the 1st PP but Jones was much better tonight. |

Not according to the Sportsnet Panel. According to those brainiacs the Leafs laid an egg against an inferior opponent. |

Man what a game by Vlasic…
If he cements himself as a top-4 d-man that would be absolutely pivotal to any future success this team may have. KK has so much pressure already on him as the bonafide top d-prospect, so it would be nice to be able to firmly entrench Vlasic (alongside S Jones) as a future mainstay. |

Arvid IS a monster. Still some stuff to clean up in his game but like someone else alluded to last week, he just has such a calm demeanor out there. Plays like a poised veteran. Mrazek has looked fine thus far, but really hoping Arvid gets the majority of games. |

He must have long legs and quick because he really does a good job of getting across the crease, i thought for sure the Leafs had a couple of goals from back door passes.

With Raddysh and Katchouk playing well, Oliver Moore in the system and one more 1st rd pick left, that Hagel trade is looking better than anything Bowman ever did.
Was Barker for Leddy the only decent trade Stan made? I can't remember what he gave up for Oduya. |

I am not sure what you're expecting with Kaiser but he makes far more good plays than bad.
Guys will get beat by players on the other cause, ya know, they get paid too. A couple of shifts later he played Matthews like a 5 year vet. |

I’m going to give credit to Zaitsev tonight, other than giving the blue line to Tavares early on, he wasn’t noticeable, which is a good thing. It would be nice if he can give the Hawks 13-14 minutes of that a night. |

He is miles better than Tinordi and at least he can move halfway decently. |

He just did, but took the time to dust it off and let the goalie get set.
Look, I’m no one to criticize a pro athlete, but you can call it out when it happens. - Chunk
He's done this a few times this yr, Chunk. He drags it from open ice to dirty ice (traffic) and fires/threads it thru. Did this in jrs too. Can't argue with his goal totals in jrs and his way of doing it.
It'll transfer to the NHL IMO as soon as he figures it out and starts to finish these shots. ... But yea, if he'd just fire on some of those, like the one he dragged, you'd think with that release a good percentage goes in.
But I think he's dragging the thing into the Dman/traffic and release it thru the Dman's legs/stick on purpose.

They’ve given up nine goals in four games, although goaltending has been great so far, me thinks that it has been more than goaltending that got them there. |
