I'm not.
Like most, I don't read them if he actually has any.

Ya I was joking. I think Reuters has more of an opinion/voice in their writing than Michael.

There seems to be some movement on the Conor Garland front; hearing a 3rd team could be in play. Talks w/ teams like #Preds #AllCaps #CBJ & at least 1 more Eastern team are ongoing. The #Canucks want this done sooner than later, but $$ is a big factor. How creative can they get?

Hopefully they get a player with grit back.

- VanHockeyGuy

Preds, Jackets have the cap space. Buffalo was mentioned before also has the cap space. Only Caps don't have the cap space. Anthony Mantha has been a healthy scratch.

He keeps the blog from dropping off the front page.

Actually all Michael needs to do is go "Bump"

I won't miss his hunched-over midget skating that's for sure.

Didn't watch past the first. Not because didn't want to, just had sh!t to do. Sounds like all I missed was a demko show that was wasted.

Oh well, wouldn't get too worked up about. It was a pretty good set up to lay an egg which I expressed worry about (wish I bet it). All high on their horses after all the media coverage on beating cup favs 2x. I don't think they're the team that beat coilers, but I don't think they're the team that lost to flyers either.

It feels like they really are going to force this thing, which I don't think will end up well. Too much salary retained and the spariest of parts back. When there's such little talk of trades around the league that Garland captures this many spots on the networks' coverage, screams desperation to me as I'd imagine it does to other GMs as well.

I don't expect a great return, it's easier that way.

I think he would do fine in a system that he doesn't always have to go 200 feet and turnovers are created more often by others.

He's a fine player, but I'd rather have a bigger body that can skate better (eventually). He used to play harder IMO, can tell he's out of it.

So, somewhere for lazy, soft players.

It's strange since can't imagine he'll get much better opportunity elsewhere than playing top line with a 100 pt and a 40 goal guy.

Exactly. Nashville, Columbus, Washington are all in top 10 take aways per 60.

The thing that pissed me off was the lead up about not laying an egg. All the talk and hype about starting off well and doing things well. Then Tochett sends out Myers to start the game. What part of starting off well does he not understand.

Two games in a row they are heavily outshot. They still need some upgrades.

I was hopeful about the changes they made but we're still 3 years away from being 3 years away. The fans get all excited about beating Edm but the bad habits this team has developed over the years are still present. Demko is the lipstick for this pig.

The NHL has officially notified teams it would like to hear their opinions on “decentralization” of the draft (having clubs stay at home while prospects attend NFL/NBA style). If there is desire for change, would most likely be in 2025 — outside chance for 2024.

No EP at practice, he's sending RT a message that he doesn't appreciate being called "soft".

Can't argue with that. Sending out Myers in general is at your own peril. Sending out Myers to start the game is asking to start the game poorly.

Maybe he's trying to send a message to rest of team. You're going to have to deal with chaos giraffe, so start early.

They should put RT in charge of contract negotiations.

I like the fact he actually called the players out. I just wonder if they care or not?
