So apparently Friedman says part of his game is to try a piss people off. Shouldn’t take too long in here.

Umm, check the stats as they agree with what I've been seeing. He's had 1 bad game this year as did the rest of the team. His 5 on 5 is fine so far. I'm more worried about Cole and Soucy. - Load Management

I get a kick out of it. I wonder if any of these guys insulting my opinion of his play this year know he's only been on the ice for 1 goal against. That's all situations including 5 on 5 and PK.
1 f ucking goal. Which was a horrible giveaway by Cole that caught everyone out of position. Suck it long and hard idiots. |

Why does it seem like Canuck management have difficulty getting value for our players/picks? I just took a look at Brian Burke's trades as a Canuck GM and the majority of outcomes definitely favored the Canucks.

It’s not your opinion I’m against it’s he drags the team down being so ineffective. Seems every shift only kills the clock & stifles any kind of momentum or push back. |

The shots were 13-5 Flyers with Myers on patrol.
As much as Juulsen struggled, Tyler Myers was arguably worse, perhaps because he played nearly twice as many minutes, so had twice as many opportunities to mess up. And he embraced those opportunities, messing up in a multitude of ways: losing board battles, turning pucks over, taking penalties, getting caught out of position, and more. - Daniel Wagner post game
I'm actually shocked that he has only been on for 1 goal against. Granted maybe he hasn't been as terrible as some would lead you to believe in here but I mean come on |

See if they start him tommorow night and get pinned in our own end again 😆, I’d say try something different but I’m not the coach. |

Hearing the Canucks will be releasing a video on Sergei Gonchar coaching Tyler Myers on how to play defense this week
It will be called ‘Oppenheimer’ and is 3.5 hours long and 90% of it is Gonchar crying |

The entire team got caved in. Surprisingly, Myers wasn't on the ice for all of Philly's 42 shots. Oh, and they didn't score while he was defending either. You guys are hilarious. |

If Juulsen and Soucy weren't on the first goal against Philly, Cole and Myers would be the only two defenders to be on the ice for a 5v5 goal this season. That would have been the first goal in the 2nd game vs Edmonton. Myers expected goal % was lowest among the D in the flyers game. |

Second period they did for sure same as the game before, they don’t start well either, they don’t dictate the play. They are in transition from a culture standpoint it’s going to take time, coaches have to keep hammering them until they get it right RT even said so. Myers wont be here long so let’s have some fun 😆 |

In all honesty, Cole needs Hronek, Hughes needs Hronek or someone better. Soucy needs someone better than Juulsen and a team that controls play much better. Myers needs to play less. Same old story
Buff and Trouba were ahead of him in Winnipeg and he was half decent, anytime he had to play in the top 4 Winnipeg struggled.
According to the stats his defensive impact in the 4-3 win was also very bad with Cole.

Mark Friedman, acquired by VAN, is a physical defenceman. His numbers generally look like the usual "good results in a small depth role" deal, except for the fact that he's drawn minor penalties at nearly double the rate of any other defenceman in the past three seasons.
re: Friedman acquisition. No, almost certainly going to stick around with the Canucks for at least the next little bit. He can hang in the NHL, just keep your expectations in check.
So the new Kyle Burroughs. |

Supposedly this Friedman guy has better puck skills in passing but we shall see with Soucy pairing how that holds.
Myers will be challenged again playing top 4 next game and hopefully Cole can cover his mistakes. |

He plays with Hronek. Myers has better stats than him, but nice try. - K-man25
Ya, no. Hughes plays with Hronek, Cole plays with Myers.
Cole-Myers 11:38 in the Phlly game
Cole-Myers 9:54 in the Edmonton game
Cole-Myers 11:18 in the home Edmonton game
The only pairing with more minutes than them each game were... drum roll.... Hughes-Hronek.
But nice try. |
