Panarin continues to look lethal. His increased effort is so noticeable. Bout the only positive I’ve seen in this one, boys are skating in quick sand and can’t control the puck. |

Hes there best player to start the year. Miller Schneider chytl and wheeler have started off poorly. Tonight’s effort overall was pathetic |

Offside - picklerick
Honestly, unacceptable for the lineman to miss that one. They’re too reliant on video review. |

Chytill, Kakko and Laf have combined for one goal so far. Need these kids to eventually add offense for this team to have any hope |

All the kids. Kakko isn’t a 1st line player. Better suited on the 2nd line. Just. Just no production |

Four games in with a completely new system! ANYONE who isn’t happy with 2-2 isn’t being realistic! |

Problem with last night is they never got to the system. Just a piss poor effort top to bottom, if you don’t outwork your opponent you won’t win many games. They deserve the ole bag skate next practice.
The thing that still bothers me is they aren’t very fast, collectively. The lineup is in need of a speed infusion, and his name is Brennan Othmann. Only a matter of time before he gets the call up, play him with Chytil and Panarin, Laf with Trocheck and Cuylle and Wheeler as the odd man out or maybe he’s just a 4th line guy now. He hasn’t brought much, Wheeler I mean

This system when played properly and with effort mitigates the speed issue somewhat. Nashville is a flawed team with awful special teams if I heard correctly during the broadcast. The Rangers should have at least been in that game, if not tearing them a new one.
Nothing we can do except look to the next one and hope for a better effort. Teams have stinkers from time to time. This game would hit a lot different if the Bluejackets game didn't turn out the way it did. |

It's only four games like you said, but they are going in the wrong direction already. Best game they played all year was Buffalo.
If they are gonna get these types of games from the likes of Chytil, Laf, Kakko, Schneider and Miller, the team is done. All 5 have been terrible since Buffalo.
And I hate to do this, but I'm about done with 17. |

Can’t deny Wheeler hasn’t brought much. They can just dump him tho, which is why the 850k was so important and not pay him anymore then that
The kids just aren’t doing enough, plain and simple |

That is just what this core is. Show up one night. Act like they don’t care the next. This is their 3rd coach now. May be time for a shakeup at some point.
And yea if Chytill, Kakko and Laf don’t show signs of offense they have no chance |

I mean they don't have the 2nd win without Fox, Shesterkin, Panarin, Kreider, Zibanejad, & Trocheck. So it's hard for me to fault that group of players, when they a directly responsible for 50% of the wins. The younger nucleus has just been coasting for a week now. Enough, get it gear. It's one thing if you lose. But don't be lazy. |

And to be honest, it's not the lack of points. I don't care about that. But when he's on they ice and they start the breakout, the puck ends up on his stick way to much in the neutral zone. He has no quickness or skating ability left. So he just dumps the puck in and forces Cuylle or Trochek to go get it. Both players do work to get the puck back for the most part (last night not withstanding), but that can't the game for that line to generate offense. |

Again putting all your chips on one rookie who has never played a minute in the NHL is completely unrealistic. |

I think miller Schneider and chytl have been flat out bad and floating with zero production. Kakko and Laf haven’t been bad but again each have 1 point in 4 games. It’s all about production for them. Wheeler has to go.
I would move both Laf kakko plus for petterson. Kakko will never be anything more than a 2nd line winger. Kakko can’t be the talent but can play with it
Laf is a 3rd liner imo. |
