Shot clock can be very misleading.
Detroit got several chances in front of the net in the second period that could have been goals as well.
Something similar happened in an earlier game this year and they managed a win, but vs a tougher opponent they are having much more trouble.
EDIT: Id't be curious to see a count of bonified scoring chances for each team.
