I mean, maybe, but....I have an XL polo from 15 years ago, and it's wider than some of my 3XL here. And sometimes the issue of shirts is the shoulders, and given that I don't go to the gym or anything that might explain muscle mass there...

the nice thing about it though is once you find a brand that you know fits you well and has a bit of variety, you can just stick to that one, don't even need to go to the store to try it out.

well there are also some nice quality companies that give you what you're looking for, I guess you simply haven't found one yet.

for example, personally when I need a casual polo for work and want to buy it online I look at Volcom, I like the style and I know exactly what to expect from that brand.
