Super Schenn Brothers had to be dealt with, and is acting like his usual juvenile self. He's gone for good. He created an alt during a previous ban that got detected and banned, too. Today, he created another one, which was transparent within a couple seconds. He'll never post again on HockeyBuzz if I can help it.
- bmeltzer

I wish you would do that with a few others who have clearly created alt accounts after being banned.

This is a very different 3-1-0 start this season compared to last season. Last season Carter Hart stood on his head to win games early in the season, while this season it's more of a complete 200 foot team effort. Like I posted weeks ago, I think this Flyers team is going to better than people think. Still outside of the playoffs however, and how much outside will depend on what the Flyers do at the deadline. I sincerely hope they are sellers at the deadline so they can get more kids into the lineup consistently.

Why should Frost play?

1) Led the team in scoring -- tops in points, tops in even strength points, tops in assists, third in goals -- over the final 2/3 of last season.

2) Improved significantly as a two-way player last season.

3) Had a strong camp this year (including leading the team with four points in five games, and that, of course, does not include the shootout goal in Boston).

Don't take my word for it on points two and three. Torts himself will tell you. (If the video below doesn't start at the right spot, start at 17:03).

Torts decisioned himself into a corner with obvious bias, no coach, when you’re winning and playing well will change it up

Well said. It’s a shame what is happening. After Torts is done with Frost, who is next? With Tortorella the conflict is never-ending. It is how he coaches.

He had no problem continuing to alternate Zamula and Andrae, despite the big win and Zamula's strong game against the Canucks.

I read stuff like this and I wonder how one can come to this opinion. Honestly, how can there be no need for Frost to play? That's completely illogical.
- MJL

I agree. As much as I am not a fan of the inconsistency in Frost's game, the Flyers need to play him, if for no other reason than to create a market for him if they determine they want to trade Frost. Keeping him in the press box is not what is best for Frost, the team or the rebuild. I hope Frost gets back in the lineup and maybe Foerster sit a game, so he can figure out how to make space to get more shots on net. Brink IMO should be in the lineup to stay, he has earned that.

I just think Torts holds Frost to a standard that he doesnt hold other players to.

Nothing can really convince me that it isnt a personal thing like AV had with Ghost.

Something doesn't add up. There is only one poster who laughably accused Bill and I being the same person and it's not SSB. He never did that.

IMO it is personal and he clearly for whatever reason does not like Frost.

I just think people need to stick to hockey, and not bring in other topics. And also not get into a back and forth for page after page on stupid stuff. Its OK that we don't always agree with each other, but I for one like to stick to hockey, and specifically the Flyers. That is why I come on this forum, to speak to other Flyers fans. Being in Boston, I don't get to do that with many people. I tell people I hate the Bruins around these parts and the conversation is dead.

I just can't fathom anyone have personal issues with Frost. Super nice kid, very coachable (per Yeo, AV, Lappy, and Rocky Thompson).

Do you have any insights on Voracek's comments about AV pertaining to Ghost and wanting him gone?

I don't agree at all. Torts always says, once I see it from you I want to see it from all the time. That is why Frost sits, because Torts sees what he can do and he just doesn't do it consistently enough. That is what Torts means by "it's not that Frost is playing bad, it's just that other players are playing better". He means other players are playing more consistently shift after shift. Look at Brink as an example. Brink is noticeable every time he is on the ice. Frost for parts of games is completely invisible. That is the difference.

Agree, another example of bias. They’re young and learning but Frost is not. Torts treats him like a 5 year NHL who will not take coaching or has had any success. Truly makes it impossible for Frost to know what the hell is going on. I am not anti-torts, ok with his tough love, this is just childish.

Rebuild or no rebuild, Torts is going to coach to win as many games as possible, that is just how he is built. That IMO is the way it should be.

This LIV GOLF Team Championship is actually pretty good. Ersson starting tonight for the Flyers, finally, should be a good game.

Frost is 24 years old, he is not a young kid anymore. He is expected to be a professional and show up every single shift. If he can't figure this out by now, he never will.

Look, I definitely think Torts is being a little harsh on Frost. He put in the work to improve in the second half of last season and had the numbers to show for it.

But I also think the fanbase needs to relax a little bit and stop acting like we are stunting the development of Giroux 2.0. I understand he's had some injuries early in his career and has been part of some dysfunctional teams in the past few years, but this guy was drafted 6 years ago. If he was such an integral piece of a future contender, I think that most any organization would realize that by now and do everything in their power to ensure he gets every chance.

Do you think Morgan Frost can be a number 1 or 2 center on a cup contender? A top 6 forward? I've seen nothing to indicate that to be the case. Ok, if that's true, then are we going to develop him as a bottom 6 player? I don't think he is that either.

Just food for thought,

I'll have to watch the replay, going to the BC vs. Denver game tonight. My first look at Gauthier and Rizzo live this year. Really looking forward to it.
