Money and Tanner aren't getting traded.
They'll be useful against the leafs in the 1st round. |

I can see a few if not a lot of teams calling for him around TDL.
Him and Monahan just have to stay healthy.
That give more time for guys like Roy and monsieur Emile (if healthy) to play in Laval and not rush them up with the Habs. - deadpoulet
100 % on the band wagon to trade Pearson, but as I said many times, I'm keeping Monahan |

Monahan is on a one year deal.
The only reason he came back, or let say the main one, is because he could not stay healthy last season.
He should have better options than a rebuilding team next summer, if he can stay healthy.
I would like to keep him but losing him for nothing and missing the playoffs as well? ishhh
Maybe Im wrong and he would be willing to sign back in mtl once again, but Hughes would need to know before TDL. |

So we're sending the kid who needs to build his confidence vs the best offense in the league?
Yikes.

This is really surprising to me (not being wrong, I am use to that), but putting Primeau in against the Devils....

Guess they really soured on Monty or want to kick him in the ass to get going.

Monahan is better than most think he is. He helps Gallagher and Pearson a lot. Good for both of them, but are they doing that good with Dvorak as the C with them? not sure
He seems to have a pretty good shot (Pearson) so if he gets in the right area, he can be dangerous.
Good pick up for sure. - deadpoulet
Monahan is only 29, and if he can stay healthy, he can still play for years and be productive. I wouldn’t even care if the Habs resigned him for a couple more years if the return isn’t what they initially thought it would be at the TDL.
Not sure Dvorak is going to add anything to this team, really? Unless it’s in a pack rage to get something that we need? Or to get out from that contract.
And Pearson seems to be able to find that space so far. Great start for him and a sneaky good pick up by Hughes! 👍🏻 |

Trial by fire
Edit : also, nobody will claim him on waiver when he will have a 0.797% save percentage |

Ahhh yes.... the whole "let's make him look so bad nobody wants to pick him up, ever. Not even us!" strategy.

Will be interesting to see the term / money Monahan and Pearson are looking for, assuming no injuries and they keep (mostly) playing like they currently are.

My first thought as well!! Jesus!!! It’s goi g to be sink or swim, feast or famine for this poor kid!! Hopefully he does well….if not…..we may be starting to ride with 2 goalies on the roster.
Not saying this will happen after just 1 start. But it won’t be a good start for him and his confidence if he get lit up tonight.
Personally, I hope he stands on his head and is lights out tonight! 👍🏻

For sure!! I wonder if there are any chances for a shorter term, team friendly contracts they might be willing to sign?? Seeing as both players’ careers were almost finished recently….. |
