Bill, thank you for the numbers on Foerster, it just shows there is a different standard for Frost. There is a different standard for Nic D, Torts does not treat all the same, he pigeon holes into what he wants them to be. It is clear now, that "playing the young players" does not include Frost.

The Flyers lineup is too stacked to get Frost in there. Too many irreplaceable players. Can't interrupt the team on the path to the Cup.

Can we please stop with the ND crap. Different player and different roles.

You want to take ND out and send laughton to the 4th line correct?

The team clearly thinks laughton belongs in the top 9.

It's madness that Frost is out of the lineup IMO. I could see sitting him for one game, but now it makes zero sense. Get him back in for a long stretch here so that he can get his legs back and move forward.

Is Risto gonna be the new Ellis? Day to day, to week to week, to never playing again.

Cates would be a better 4LW option than Laughton. Dallas dominated them so much Torts could barely play that line in the last game. With Cates there as the F1 they would be a forechecking nightmare for other teams to play against.

Over a large sample of games, other than fight, what does Delauriers do well to maintain his lock in the lineup?

The talent discrepancy between the two 4th lines is huge. Vegas should win. But watching them against Chicago looked like they were playing just hard enough to win. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Flyers got them to OT if they take them lightly.

I shudder to think how the Flyers would cope without Deslauriers getting outscored 31-18 at ES since he joined the team.

Flyers have a stacked lineup. I'm told there is no room in the lineup for Frost. Flyers are just too talented.

well it is a message board so I appreciate your opinion. A 4th line does not have to be a ROLE, they can actually be skilled, if they are, they should get more minutes. Playing a team like Vegas it would be better if the Flyers could roll 4 good lines. I don't think there is a question, adding Laughton would make the 4th line better. Adding Frost to the lineup would add more skill.

It's not Laughton who should be going down to 4LW. Cates is the best suited, and is only getting 11:04 at ES anyway.

How long before Frost asks for a trade? This kid is talented but how is his treatment not getting in to his head?

I don't think he needs to ask. Frost has no future in Philly with Torts as coach, and Briere will be moving him for pennies on the dollar before too long.

I could see a deal with Ottawa where they give the Flyers UFA winger Kubalik and a 2nd for Frost at 50%, which would allow them to sign Pinto as well.

Jay Woodcroft could have the same dilemma as Torts. The Oilers are losing with McDavid and he’s a -3. Now he’s out for 1-2 weeks. If the Oilers go on a win streak it could be tough to put him back in.

I will say this, I think Torts saw this as a one game benching, then they won and played well, then he thought ok one more game and they played better, he is caught in his own doing. I do think Torts wants Frost back in the lineup.

How long does Briere wait until he intervenes or trades Frost from a position of weakness that will only get worse the longer he waits?

The Standard.
