well no contender is going to want frost - 2Real
Are you saying that Torts is devaluing a potential trade chip? He’d never do something like that. |

Jay Woodcroft could have the same dilemma as Torts. The Oilers are losing with McDavid and he’s a -3. Now he’s out for 1-2 weeks. If the Oilers go on a win streak it could be tough to put him back in. - Minnyhock

they had injuries that year, he was a 4th line plug in, and at a low cap hit.
but question. did the avs resign him?
how many teams has he played on since the left the flyers? why?

Flyers have a stacked lineup. I'm told there is no room in the lineup for Frost. Flyers are just too talented. - MJL
should people use this quote in the future as you said it? or should people understand the sarcasm. i know which you would do.

Fourth line plug wins a cup, doesn’t register a single point, is no longer playing, and people act like he’s some catch that got away |

I will say this, I think Torts saw this as a one game benching, then they won and played well, then he thought ok one more game and they played better, he is caught in his own doing. I do think Torts wants Frost back in the lineup. - wcorvette
A rational coach would have never wanted him out of the lineup in the first place.

Pretty interesting approach Anaheim is going through with Carlson. Would be curious to know what folks think of this
The 2023 second overall pick will miss his second straight game Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets as part of a series of planned scratches aiming to help the Ducks manage his workload in the first half of the season. |

I don't think he needs to ask. Frost has no future in Philly with Torts as coach, and Briere will be moving him for pennies on the dollar before too long.
I could see a deal with Ottawa where they give the Flyers UFA winger Kubalik and a 2nd for Frost at 50%, which would allow them to sign Pinto as well. - Feanor
they are not going to retain on Frost as there is zero need to do that. That is flat out dumb |

Correct. 8-0 with Hart standing on his head. |

How long does Briere wait until he intervenes or trades Frost from a position of weakness that will only get worse the longer he waits?
The Standard. - StepfordSam
Torst - co-GM1
Danny - co-GM2
Torts calling the shots at the nhl level imo |

How long before Frost asks for a trade? This kid is talented but how is his treatment not getting in to his head? - mikeyo27
I think the issue is plain as day. He likes that they are in most games and 3-1-1 with a good start so he doesn't want to mess with it. Not the right approach IMO. Kids like Frost who have a chance to be the solution moving forward need to play over the concerns of having a chance at respectability this year. |

He's 18 going on 19. Gives them time to decide if they want to keep him up before burning his first ELC year.

If Pinto were a Flyer, the same folks pining for him would be saying "He had a great October last year and then faded". But the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side. (FWIW, I think he's a good young player and will continue to improve, although it hurts to have missed all of camp and the first two weeks of this season). |

Frost is not a solution for anything down the line. Tortorella is wrong to scratch him but Frost is a nothing player. If he’s the 2nd line center on the next “contending” Flyers team then something went seriously wrong. |

If I were him I'd have asked for one immediately after knowing I was scratched for the Edmonton game.
He(Frost) won't do it. Probably shouldn't. But I would love for him to tell Torts to go f@ck himself once he's reinserted to the lineup. Like" I wasn't good enough for the previous games but now I am? Nah man. F@ck you I'm never playing here again." |

Not at all. It’s a comment on how ridiculous the situation is. Torts is ego driven. His benching of Frost was an emotional one. He wasn’t cerebral enough to weigh the risk reward equation and he had no end game. Torts realizes that 4 games is excessive and punitive but he’s so self centered and insecure that he can’t admit he made a mistake so he plows on and doubles down on ignorance because of his ego. The only thing that could be worse is if Jones and Briere support this.
