LaFranchise scored a beauty last night and had a strong, noticeable game. Lets hope he has actually turned a corner and that this is not simply a cruel tease... - TommyGTrain
Im excited about him again

It doesn't benefit me or anybody that Wheeler has been bad. Again, it's not his lack of points. It's the way he plays.
Last night it happened again. Trocheck and Cuylle worked there tail off in the defensive zone. got the puck to Wheeler, Miller was joining the rush for a 4 on 2. Wheeler got the puck. Couldn't skate, dumped the puck. Flames got the puck in the corner and went up ice. That' can't continue to be the playbook for that line.
Wheeler did have nice pass in the 2nd period to Trocheck. - tomburton99
It’s just getting tougher and tougher for these big lumbering guys to be relevant anymore in a faster game with quicker smaller players. The league is changing every year, evolving I guess more or less

I mean, sure. If they miss a call by an inch or two, yeah I'll cut them some slack. To be on 100% of the time.
But the point is: if the linesmen in the fraction of a second is unsure, call the play onside. If the result of the play is a goal, review it. If the puck is deemed to be offsides, no goal. If the play is on sides, goal. That's just my logic. Don't think it's hot take. - tomburton99
I don't disagree with you on the closer calls. But they are letting blatant offsides go at times. Honestly the biggest issue I have is the time it takes to return the correct call.
(frank)ing Duchene ruined everything. |

I am going to continue with my dumb take and opinion. Wheeler is going to be fine. |

Blake Wheeler still had 55 points last year. I think we will see more from him. |

I think he’s probably best served on the 4th line banging bodies. He would probably give it a jolt of offense too. I just think he’s miscast in the top 9 now. We def don’t get much from the bottom 6 still |

He won’t be but at $800k with othmann knocking at the door it really doesn’t matter much. We do need secondary scoring soon though. |

Idk man. I don’t think the solution is creating the possibility of more called back goals. Maybe this is a problem technology can solve at some point. |

That's why the NHL needs to do this. Because they (frank)ed themselves. |

I mean it might not be dumb. It's only 6 games in. Again, I don't care that he's point less. Bonino doesn't have any points. But in my opinion he's played 4 good games and 2 bad ones. Wheeler has played 6 bad ones. that's the problem. |

I had 4 of 5 (like always) on the higher lower thing underdog has on the Monday night football game. Aiyuk needed 12 fantasy pts and got 8 something. That was the surest bet of the 5 I thought |

You can be big and slow if you're smart and positionally sound. Chara did that his whole Career. Luke Scheen kept his career alive doing that. |

Nicky Bones sacrifices his body like Girardi did so he’s well worth the money/roster spot. Much rather he does that over Kreider or Zib (on the Pk) Wheeler can still be a part of the team down the road as the 13th F, 4th line. But yea, they can’t have him in the top 9 much longer if he doesn’t improve |

I think it’s little easier for a dman tho. These forwards that are big have a tougher time imo keeping up with the pace |

Zac Jones kind of in that spot that Hajek was in for awhile, can't get into lineup, cant get sent down without clearing waivers

He needs to get dealt for a pick asap. We have enough depth to fill in for injuries and he’s never getting in over a healthy Gus |

Still can’t believe Hajek was the player the rangers pushed for in that Mcdonagh/Miller trade lol |

Howden was the other target. Howden who's now not one of the worst players in the NHL. |
