who isnt in the top 250 - jimbro83
Kenny Wayne Shepherd somehow didn't make the cut. They had Mike Campbell at 180, but omitted Tom Petty completely which is a bit of an oversight...
Fil Henley from Wings of Pegasus should have gotten an Honorable Mention. He is actually a one man rock band from the UK and he is excellent. |

Criminally underrated guitarist. Loved reading about formation of the Travel Willbury's. |

how about Tom Morrello 18th while David Gilmour is 28th - jimbro83
Perhaps they just took names out of a hat and made a list that way
Pickle is right, I can’t see there even being 250 “best guitarists of all time”. Some of those 250 had to suck. Am I on the list? Because I’m atrocious at it |

Yea for the most part. Edge specifically tho, he his sound is very distinct. Bono gets a lil too political on stage sometimes. Just shut up and sing will ya lol I’ve seen them probably more then anyone, but I’m not really a concert geek like some people haha |

I'm so shocked by this. I thought because of Bono you'd be anti U2. |

On the contrary, TJ. I honestly feel that these names we are throwing around have the slimmest of margins separating them by talent. The real differences are in style, influence and presence. They could make a list of Top 1500 guitar players and not run out of greats. If it weren't in the genre of Rock, I'd list Al Di Meola as my favourite. Far from a household name, but an absolute master. |

I think a top 50 list is fine, obviously if you’re in a band you’re a good guitarist. But it’s a dumb subjective list that gets people angry 250 is 200 too many imo

Wow. didn't think he'd be that high. Especially considering his main genres are disco/pop. |
