We always get (frank)ed on kicking calls. If it’s a kick I don’t know what a kick actually is. If the goal stands we win the cup this season

It’s a dumb rule anyway, you should be allowed to kick the puck in

5-2 record, playing well and a few guys are flat out snake bitten, Zib and Chytil. Zib needs new sticks I think once those two start scoring, the east best look the fk out

After preseason nobody would have predicted Quick earns any shutouts, let alone the first one for the team.

I didn’t think he’d last the season

Solid win
Quick has been great his two starts, got his 59th career shutout tonight
Wheeler’s best game of the season by far
Cuylle was robbed, there was no kicking motion there
Lafreniere is feeling it
Panarin’s got his mojo back
Schneider needed that badly

What surprised me most watching the game tonite is how SLOW Edmonton looks. I have always enjoyed watching the Oilers because they were such a great skating team. I know McDavid is out, but the entire team looks like they're skating with ankle weights on. WTF happened??

Im not sure Kakko is the right type of player to be with Kreider and Zib. Hes great at the off the puck stuff, in the boards, using his size, holding possession… however, hes not doing much to elevate the players on his line. Kreider and Zibs are finishers, and as is Kakko to an extent. That line needs a Panarin type guy with vision to get passes to open guys, to look off defenders to create a shooting seam or to draw 2 defenders to get someone open. Id give it like 5-7 more games but eventually a change would have to be made if it doesnt get better.

There’s a lot of guys on the Oilers who make a lot of money.

All of them probably owe McDavid about 50% of their paychecks.

How the hell is Darnell nurse getting 9.25 mil per season? lol

I see this as a bad take.
Zib and Kreider have been one of the top scoring duo's in the league for almost 5 years, usually with a stiff on the other wing. And now Kakko is the reason they aren't producing?? He was put their so they could elevate his game. Not the other way around.
Zibby is a notorious slow starter, and Kreider's numbers are just fine.
Let things marinate, chef.
