The team has been playing pretty well without him. Bring him back when a slump happens. Let’s see what he is made of - Keyser soze
Yep, this team is playing pretty well. They don't need any other players. Good to go! LMAO

I guess Torts think Poehling is better defensively. So long they win Torts has the upper hand. |

They have Ersson, Kolosov, Bjarnason and Zavragin. They could good get a good return of future assets for Hart. Especially if he is a franchise goalie as you claim. - MJL

The team looks just fine in the past 5 games ... why can't people just accept that Frost is not that good? They put up 6 goals last night, Geez! - jd250
A) Because it's not true
B) The Wild have allowed 31 goals in ther last six games. Scoring six on them they way they've been playing isn't a huge feet. It's taking care of business against a team that's a complete mess off puck. |

What’s the obsession with Frost? Seriously. This guy a good half season then held out like he was doing it for years. I’m a little old school as well. I honestly laughed when I saw him out of the lineup. I hope Tortorella keeps him out longer. - Keyser soze
Frosty is a great topic for debate. I assume part of the obsession is that he was a 1st round pick as part of the Schenn trade (which was a Hexy move). Being a Schenn fan, I wasn't happy with the trade. Then he had the setbacks with injuries, etc. I've always said I was doubtful of Frosty but admit that his performance in the 2nd half last season had me changing my mind. I don't agree with it, but Torts is the kind of guy that doesn't like certain players (I assume work ethic but before MJL jumps down my throat, maybe it's just Torts being Torts) and will try to make an example out of them. I'm old school as well but I do think they need to get Frosty back in the lineup.

Wait, you want them to lose so they get rid of Torts, DB, Jonesy, etc and rebuild the proper way. Wouldn't Frosty make them better if he was in the lineup over scrubs like anyone on the 4th line?

That's great and so awesome seeing Brink not only being given a chance, but producing.

Good points, Bill. That said, what do you think it will take to get Frosty back in the lineup? Do we need to lose a few in a row or does someone have to get in Torts' doghouse? |

They were a tire fire. The amount of turnovers in their own zone was unbelievable. |

They've recently lost two in a row.

Yes they did and as much as we do not always agree on things, one was an OT loss and both losses were by one point. If we got crushed in those losses, I think Torts might react differently. I should have been more specific...if we lose 3-5 as opposed to a few.

Honestly, there isn't a situation that is going to make Tortorella change, other than an injury. The GM either doesn't have the balls to stand up to Tortorella and force him to play Frost or he agrees with it. Either way, that's a problem. This coach has to go.

The man scored 19 goals in 81 games and added 27 assists. I don’t understand how anyone can’t see he’s an asset. If the guy got to play and improved even slightly, he could be a 25-35-60 guy. That’s not a stretch and very conservative considering his talent. How is that not a worth taking a shot on? Perplexing. |

You might be correct based on Torts' track record. I love DB and hope he does well with this team but he is still new and he will have to adapt to his new role. i've said before that I'm not a Torts hater, but I don't like him for this team. I still think the org will let Torts ride things out so we have to accept it, like it or not. In this case, I do think the powers that be should force the issue and get Frosty back in the lineup to see if he can get back to his spring of 23 form.

It was more than just a spring form. He led the team in scoring over the last 56 games of the season. That's 68% of the season. Imagine if Tortorella hadn't stuck him on the 4th line for the first month or so of the season. |

Yes, as a non-Frosty fan in the past, I want to see him play and prove that he belongs.
I'm also one that doesn't want him playing 8-10 mins in the 4th line so it's a tough call. Injuries will occur especially with guys like Coots and Cam in the lineup. They are healthy now so Torts has to figure a way to get Frosty back in.

Yes, and that's why I changed my tune on him. We can go back and forth on meaningless games, but he did step it up. Bottom line is we aren't that good of a team, so who knows how Frosty would perform if on a contender. No way he is a first liner but perhaps he could be a solid 2-3 liner.

Frost actually started stepping up over the last 30 games of the 21/22 season on a line with Cates and Tippett. Of course Tortorella completely dismissed that and saddled Frost on the 4th line to start the 22/23 season. That has escalated to completely scratching him in 23/24
