He is Strome with great faceoff ability. Though I think Strome had better vision and awareness.
- JRR1285

I probably like him more than most here, despite his $$$ that we're stuck with. You're right though, he is Strome taking dumber penalties. He has to be more aware in OT.

It was special teams all night. I'd honestly say maybe he should be on PP2 over Cuylle.

I like that theyre trying Cuylle on the PP. Kid can shoot.

I don't hate it either but it could be a different look for that unit. I like Cuylle a lot.

Anyone know the last defenseman to have a 20 goal season for the Rangers? I’m not sure who it is. Fox has a chance tho. He’s got 3 already

Its fine for what hes getting paid

You're right. I've been a Wheeler fan and thought it was a good pickup though I expected more out of him. We were against the cap so he was the best player available for what money we had so I retract my statement.

He's very frustrating at times. The O-zone penalties are at another level. I know Strome took some dumb penalties but they weren't always in the offensive zone like Trocheck's tend to be lately.

He joined a team after playing with ATL/Win for 12 seasons. I think he'll work out overall. Learning a new system etc.

This. They aren't even "good penalties" like Bread took tonight. The brain farts are infuriating.

probably an unpopular opinion but I think I would tweak the lines. Have Kakko move down with Trocheck and Cuylle, have Wheeler or Vesey skate with Kreider and Zib. They aren’t generating much 5 on 5 that line, both lines really. The Chytil line has been terrific 5 on 5 for the most part.

Really no matter how you see it the rangers have 3 strong lines no matter who’s on them. Just would like to see them all get rolling at the same time

Im just not sure Wheeler has the speed to keep up with Kreider and Zib.

(frank) off with Vesey in the top 6. He's exactly where he belongs when they're healthy.

Chytil was Jekyll and Hyde tonight.

Kakko isn't slow. It's only a matter of time before that line gets going.

Honestly, I feel like its only a matter of time before Othmann gets called up. He can keep up with them.

I just think my Kakko swap really makes that line better. Wheeler can hang on a top line, it’s worth a shot

He almost said as much during an interview a few games back that he was pushed to be faster by Cuylle.

I really hope so. I think he’s better than Kakko and maybe even Laf when all said and done. He looks made for NY and stardom. I just feel it with him.

Id try Cuylle with them, but then someone ends up on their off wing which isnt good either.
