yeah, but the team in general deserved the W, it wasn't perfect but it was a good effort.

They were totally outplayed in the 2nd (thus the shots against) but they never gave up ... so kudos for that.

But this team is very inconsistent ... normal for a young team.

a few years ago they would have fold after allowing 2 quick goals to start the 2nd. like you said, not perfect, but they're on the right track.

Such awful news… and such an entertaining game. Got to hope Matheson won’t be lut too long. Was very scared when Guhle blocked that 140 Km/h shot, anyone else was?

I will give them credit for not giving up, as they had done in the past. But really, they did not look good in the 1st, got outplayed in the second and had a decent 3rd.

They have a knack for coming back in games, which is nice, but it can only happen so many times before it comes back to bite you in the ass.

Also, CC shoulda won that in the dying seconds of OT.

How (frank)ing epic would that have been?

yup, these kinds of wins help build confidence moving forward, they know if they're trailing during a game that they have a solid chance of coming back into it if they focus and put in the work.

well yeah, of course you want to avoid being down a couple of goals, but they need these types of situations so that they can really believe in themselves and keep battling through adversity, the wins won't often be easy to get.

and yes it would've been epic, like I said earlier the OT period should be 10 minutes, much more entertaining than the shootouts imho.

Gonna be honest, I have no issue with a tie and moving on.

I grew up watching ties, so I am OK with them.

Not really a fan of 3v3 or the shootout.

yeah, hockey purists will argue that it isn't "real hockey", which I understand since it's supposed to be played 5 on 5, but for what it is, with all the space players have to show off their skills and create plays, I find it's way more entertaining, and it's definitely closer to what hockey is supposed to be compared to the shootouts.

I love 3 on 3 ... very entertaining, beats going home with everyone getting only 1 point. It's like bonus hockey.

But if no winners are declared by then so be it ... I could do without the shoot out though.

Guhle comes back, and now Matheson is day-to-day. what the (frank) is this poop.

but hellz yeah for the Optobus, and the silver lining with Dach is that he might be ready to make a return for the 1st round of the playoffs...
