I mean right now, they are winning. that's the end goal. Hopefully line 3, Chytil, and Kakko can get going soon. - blacksheep1
I think they're going to. What is so nice right now is that Laviolette is just letting them play within the system he put in place. They are being given that time to build chemistry and not have the line blender in use every game. |

criticism of Blake Wheeler is understandable but not warranted. he spent 13 years with his last organization and is adjusting to a new home with his family, a new team, a new city. and lets face it. NYC is quite different than Winnipeg. he's looked better lately. lack of production from the bottom six is just going to take some time. these are new line combos with some new folks an young guys. they are not hurting the team and doing fine. - gskalt
Right now it is. 9 games no points, CFrel of -2.4%, while Trocheck and Cuylle are positives, and Wheeler has the 3rd worst cumulative game score on the roster. He's been bad. Full stop. |

It's not unreasonable to say he just might not have it anymore. He's 37 and and it's not like he's playing a different sport here. We're winning so it's absolutely the right move to continue to plug away and see what we have in him. But it's definitely possible he's lost one too many steps. |

Might be true unfortunately. If they were losing or around .500 we might be seeing some other options here instead. Winning always affords the luxury of trying to work something out. |

I was hoping for around 3 points at this juncture from him. It's kind of insane how bad the bottom 6 has been on the offensive side. Right now they look like zero threat out there. |

I predict Othmann gets the call up around new years and by the playoffs he’s the first line rw and that deepens the lineup considerably
He has 6 pts in 7 games now |

Um, Jan?
Who was it that had nice keep-in in the last paragraph there? - Tonybere
Miller, and I have no idea why that auto corrected to Mikolas, but fixed. Thanks |

Trocheck and Cuylle both had decent games last night. Each had scoring chances. Cuylle drew the Penalty on Dillon and Trocheck was again good at the dot. While it would be nice for both to have more goals, watching them, you can see they might have something. You can't tell me that with Wheeler it's the same. |

On ice for 0 goals for and 3 goals against. Only he and Lindgren have zeros there. |

Unfortunately, we dont have the cap space to go out and trade for players. |

It's only a matter of time before the bottom 6 has a breakout game.
Unfortunately it might take an injury or some other unwanted change to the roster. Get things shaken up a bit. |

PP and the dzone structure are carrying them. They really don’t give up much in these games so it could be more of the focus right now, and then eventually they’ll score more. If GG was here they would be giving up way more goals probably
This road trip was great timing and the results were excellent. That western Canada swing is not easy to go .500 on and they went 1.000, pretty impressive |

Cant really fault Lindgren there since pretty much all but a couple goals came on the PP. |

You are correct. At 5 on 5 on they are more dull then bad. Give up a little bit too much High danger chances. But other than that. They have been decent defensively 5 on 5. |

Well I think that’s othmanns spot eventually. Unless wheeler starts producing. In his defense, the whole 3rd line isn’t producing |

Fine but just saying that the words “freak accident” is misleading until you see it. This guy flat out killed him - Slimtj100

Led with the shoulder straight to the head. Extends his arm upwards as he makes contact, should be 10 games but will only be 2 if we’re lucky. |
