I believe what happened is that someone mistakenly flagged a post and it triggered a very long auto ban due to history. I told him to reach out to Jan or another Mod but I am guessing he doesn't want to bother him with it.

He does not. Here is the comment he was banned for:

"It doesn't benefit me or anybody that Wheeler has been bad. Again, it's not his lack of points. It's the way he plays.

Last night it happened again. Trocheck and Cuylle worked there tail off in the defensive zone. got the puck to Wheeler, Miller was joining the rush for a 4 on 2. Wheeler got the puck. Couldn't skate, dumped the puck. Flames got the puck in the corner and went up ice. That' can't continue to be the playbook for that line.

Wheeler did have nice pass in the 2nd period to Trocheck."

Spamming. Wheeler is an *issue*. They have issues they need to figure out are:

Figure out the lack of 5 on 5 scoring, Wheeler. Lindgren (He might be hurt, I think. Pure speculation on my part.) and the biggest issue right now when you do a deep dive is the 4th line.

Winning helps. Laviolette not panicking helps. Igor rounding into form and Quick kinda stealing two games has been huge. Panarin Carrying.

I know things aren't perfect right now but they are showing many traits of being a good team. There are guys that haven't been producing but based on history should "break out" at some point (Goodrow, Wheeler, Lindgren, Bonino). It will come, and hopefully they can just keep rolling in the meantime.

I can't figure out Lindgren, because he's important. And they are better team when plays compared to when he's injured. But to srat this season he's had more games that ended up negative in GS than positive. Which is not normal for him.

Edit: The best moves Lavioletter has made is not touching the lines. Lacking of scoring at ES not his fault. And the Rangers are getting chances. But they just aren't gonig in. (Shooting percentage below league average right now.)

I just believe it's because the 5v5 scoring is down. Once they figure that out his numbers should normalize one would think.

Edit:

I noticed the shooting average as well. It's well below league average. Hopefully that goes up a percentage point.

I remember the Cup final team in 2014 was the worst powerplay ever, so it must have been great that year

I'm checking.

edit: Last year they finished 10th in goals for at 5 on 5, better than I expected.

I think when you have a great powerplay it gives the perception that you aren't good 5 on 5 too

so many Kreider haters say all he does is score powerplay goals, but last year he only had 8 powerplay goals, with 36 on the season total

I am noticing them drawing more penalties so I am chalking that up as good 5v5 play. There were points last year where they were not doing the work to get the calls. Not seeing that much this year.

Rangers were a good team last year, you can't have a 107 point season and not be a good team

that Devils series sucked the life out of everyone

I don't care how he scores goals. The Rangers have never had or kept a player like him around over the last 30 years. All he needs to do is score 65 more goals over the next 3+ seasons to became the 2nd best goal scorer this organization has ever seen.

I don't disagree about that. But there were warning signs that if they're skill wasn't getting it done, that they didn't have a system to fall back on. I think that has been rectified. They just needed that balance.
