Ok, I mean Olofsson and Bryson don't even play and will be replaced. Benson and Biro were net positives. Clifton isn't even that bad.
4th line stinks this year.
Team still is not a net negative. There will always be players to replace. It's nice that the top 4 and top 9 are not part of that conversation.
The Levi thing is a little too satirical. - TheSabresTaco
It's a bad group to saddle the core with, Why are players on the roster and not playing? They aren't league minimum contracts.
Development is still priority over winning, this will be Adams 4th roster with an incomplete build out and it was intentional.

it's not intentional to them. you're not wrong, if the 4th line continues to be weak they should be looking to swap some parts. Other than that, the team is better off than the tone implies.
His actions and words both show winning is the first priority. You may just like the method less than some.

Girgensons has been positive impact this season thus far.
Kreb has been the biggest disaster and it's not even close. |

I think his point and related question that the main core has been identified.
If winning is the highest priority, especially after such high level years from the core last season, why not fully invest 100% in rounding out the roster to best support the true main core, instead of nibbling around the edges, trying to play the middle (winning vs. development)? |

It has been, but I also don't think the complaint lies within that core.
There are some minor things to be done (like almost every team in the league) but identifying and watching the core succeed makes these arguments relatively mundane.
Like sure they didn't expect Krebs to nose dive on being useful. Kyle, I get it, but it's time to cut bait at the end of the season. Girgensons apparently has still got it, doubt they get rid of him for next season especially if Kyle is gone. Olofsson of course is gone.
Then what are we left with? A 7th defenseman?
Then there's the wad of prospects ready to compete for like one spot. They're acutely aware of it.
But you can't complain about not giving prospects a chance, and also complain about when a guy gets called up that kevo would rather develop than win. |

I just listed a group signed by him (his actions) that prove winning is not first priority.

I wouldn't call finding Cozens a true, top quality top 6 winger and adding another true, top 3/4 quality defenseman minor changes that are needed.
Those are two major additions that are needed.
Updating the 4th line and moving away from a half decade of LOG is needed, but the two upgrades I outlined above are the biggest impact needs.
I don't understand how you can consider those as minor. |

Their team defense has improved and their 5v5 offense is third in the league.
3rd OA in EVO
11th OA in EVD
4th OA in SHD
powerplay sucks |

They badly need a new strategy on the Power Play.
If they employed one, it would make a huge difference. |

Minor things to be done, as in what? Individual success means nothing when the team fails. What is the measure of success for the complaint to be mundane?

Well Quinn is still employed so I'm ignoring that issue long term.
Skinner, Tage, Tuch, Quinn, Peterka, Cozens, Mittelstatd, Greenway, (Benson/Savoie/Biro/Kulich/Rosen)
Top 9 and more. Done.
Like I said, the 4th line needs work. Finding a quality 4th line is not the heavy lift people make it out to be. The bigger lift is actually doing it.

the measure of success is
1. Winning
2. Investigating stats to ensure the winning that they're doing is because they're actually a good team.
Based on the last 8 games, they are winning, and they are highly effective on offense, top 11 on defense and top 4 in PK metrics.
There are things to do, there are always things to do, but this is a good team, believe it or not. |

I dont know if Girgs being on the team next year is a given. Why the 1 year contract only?
I think with the team being so young they wanted to bring back familiar faces and message. I think they really think this will help them get to the playoffs this year.
I believe in top5gmHalfBaldingMan and meatball to a extent. They have proven us wrong many times.
Remember the Meatballs cant implement a defensive structure talk? Lets hope they can focus on the PP now |

look man, you don't want to see the good in this team, fine. that's up to you.
that's not STH behavior
I hope kevyn does more to provide better long term solutions around the edges.
but getting bent out of shape about the performance of the team because olofsson and kyle exist is a weird way to be disappointed. |

Yeah I dunno about Girgs. Last year he was extremely effective in his own end. He's a leader and that gets their pants tight.
I think he sticks around for another contract, personally.
