Damn man. Well at least it sounds like your son is in good spirits and considering what happened, he got away with pretty minor injuries. That ladies insurance will be calling either you or your ex with a settlement real soon

Dont work like that.... Basically its a scale they use for injuries, age, etc, then add on some more for other stuff.

Which either doesn't bode well for Chytil, Pitlick or both. They had enough cap space for the move but the goal/hope was to keep as much space as possible for a trade deadline acquisition. Just means Drury may need to get even more creative then.

in the immediate moment, Brodzinski was playing lights out in Hartford and Laviolette seemed to like him a lot in pre-season

should fit right in

I think he's a better move than Pitlick regardless because Pitlick hasnt played in weeks and Brodzinski has been playing a lot

Brods is one of those likable players, works hard is great in the AHL, but doesn't translate to the NHL

I honestly worry more about Brod having to pass through waivers if/when he gets sent back down.

Brod has 11pts in 7gms in the A... 6g 5a

So with J Brod up and Chytil presumably out, we roll with something like this?

Kreider-Zib-Kakko
Panarin-Trochek-Laf
Cuyyle-Brodzinski-Wheeler
Goodrow-Bonino-Vesey

Or swap around Brod with Goodrow/Bonino in whatever form works best.

My only concern was the cap space, more in terms of what remain at the deadline if some is used now.

Presuming Chytil sits, which looks to be a given, look for Trocheck to center the second line in between Panarin and Lafreniere. Goodrow should slide up from fourth line right wing to third line center, skating with Cuylle and Wheeler. If both of these changes happen, Brodzinski will then probably slot on the fourth line wing opposite Vesey and next to Nick Bonino.

I think Goodrow starts at the 3c and Brod as the 4LW. But I would give him a shot as the 3C as he has more offensive talent than Goodrow

That's what I was thinking as well. Goodrow seems best suited for that fourth line wing, and they finally showed something last night so I would keep them together and hope Brod can spark Wheeler a bit.

my son got hit by a car after school yesterday. Apparently the woman was blinded by sun glare. She wasn’t drinking or high or anything. This intersection it happened at is apparently an issue with the walk sign and green light being on at the same time. We’re definitely gonna look into some sort of law suit because it was preventable I think. I’m going to own Massapequa

How old is your son? I ask because I have a 3 year old who broke his leg in July and needed a hard cast. He was out of it in 5 weeks.

He’s a teenager at least so it’ll be easier to deal with. He’s getting the cast now so I’m not exactly sure how long he’ll need it for at the moment. It’s gonna suck for him no doubt lol but at least he’s here still and no brain/neck or overly serious injuries. It’s hitting us today how lucky he was

That’s a good way to look at the situation. He’s young so he should recover faster. Still gonna suck for him cause he’s a teen, when your that age patience is lacking.

Edit: but unlike my son, your son is prob. smart enough to milk it

NY Rangers PR:
The Rangers have recalled Louis Domingue and Connor Mackey from the Hartford Wolf Pack. Barclay Goodrow will not play tomorrow so he could be with his wife for the birth of their son.

Mollie Walker:
Word is that Adam Fox is going on LTIR, and Filip Chytil on IR.

Reason for Domingue call up is because Igor Shesterkin is banged up. Jonathan Quick expected to start tomorrow in Minny.

#NYR  feel they have the roster and cap space so they can take extra precautions.

This escalated quickly.

LTIR means 10 games and 24 days. Earliest Fox can return is November 29 against Detroit. Rangers can use his $9.5 mil cap hit while he is sidelined.

Hope is that Chytil misses only a week. But if a concussion, no timetable.

Little surprised Mackey, a lefty, not Hollowell, a righty, got the call up

Things were going just a bit too well.

I got tickets to the Red Wings game on Tuesday.
