I'll take the over. - Lunaion
Over 9 games on one of them?
I don't see it.
Savoie is next up to get time, and I think their long term plan is Quinn and P. Kane.
They'll live with Jost and Krebs as the 12th forward, while keeping Olofsson on the bench. |

No clue. Disappointing enough that it's time to reassess. - Lunaion
After Tage at 1C, looks like the team has:
Cozens
Mitts
Krebs
Jost
Savoie
Kulich
Ostlund
Wahlberg
Kozak
all fighting for 3 spots eventually.
Cozens and Mitts are locked in a fight for 2C. Do they continue to fight it out, or does Donnie put them together and if so, who gets the 2C position while the other goes to W?
Jost and Krebs in a fight for 4C, neither of which strikes me as an ideal candidate there..so to me a placeholder for the eventual winner between Kozak and Wahlberg...or an outside candidate with specific skills.
What's the play at 3C, seems like Savoie and Kulich battle it out and perhaps eventually Ostlund?
So many possibilities, have we learned anything this season so far? Maybe that Krebs is dispensable.

He benched them after the first period last night.
That was extreme, even for him. - kingcong39

Minimal games for either one, and definitely not more than 9 for either one. - kingcong39
💯 % agree
Unless kulich or Rosen play well and the team gets hot with them in the lineup
Savoie will probably be with the Sabres before the game Tuesday imo
I doubt they burn any of these entry level deals |

for krebs, it's simple
put him in the presser for 2 or 3 games or................
he really should be on the third line with 2 guys not named jost, olofsson, girgens or okposo
this means casey and cozens on the the top 6
and this should be a 5 game look, not a 5 shift look

Presser not Rochester at this point, do you think Krebs ends up traded or demoted eventually?

traded or extended if he gets it together
not demoted IMO as that just decreases his value |

Savoie will reassigned in the next 24 hours.
Rosen's year is already burned. Kulich is playing too well to hide behind that.

Disagree.
I love the prospect of Savoie for theSabres longterm, but I would do this for sure.
Getting a #1RhD for very cheap would make for one of the best D's in the league.
While the assets given up by the Sabres is stiff, the Sabres can afford it and not blink nor think twice.
A top RhD is their biggest need, IMO and adding a player like him provides excellent relief should Dahlin go down, or Power for that matter.
Joker has improved his play, potentially as a direct result of having his minutes reduced, down ~4:00 YoY, although the past 4 or 5 games they have been increased. The upgrade from him to Andersson more than offsets that. - IonSabres
He would be the perfect fit |

He's had more than 5 games in the middle 6, just no consistency. Too much line shuffle.

Krebs should be used as a piece in a trade before he becomes Olofsson's value. The only thing saving him is his youth. |

Thanks for the clarification
How is Rosens year already burned and will that play a part in call ups priority? |

I think it's because Rosen was 19 when he signed his ELC, not 18, and you can only slide an ELC until the player turns 20 per 9/15 of a given season. |

Right, slide is basically D+1 and D+2. He's D+3. Too old to slide.

With the year+ that Kulich has had, slide shouldn't be part of the conversation.

Mitts needs to go to the wing. We are weak on the wing. Kulich as well unless he is a 55%+ FO guy |

So, next season something like:
Skinner - Tage - Tuch
Mitts - Cozens - Quinn
JJP - Savoie - Benson
Greenway - Krebs - Kulich
Jost/Rousek
Edit forgot JJP, who kicks Kulich to L4 and Rousek out or to 13th |

Smart teams would make sure to slide kulich another year
Sure, if he comes up and plays like peterka this season, keep him up.
but there’s gonna be an adjustment to the nhl and fewer forward spots available with Quinn returning
I feel like kulich has earned a look , but definitely not a full time spot at this moment imo |

Head-to-head is the first tie-breaker. Plus the Bills have an extra win. They would be a half-game up.
