None of the Sabres 1st round picks resemble qualities like McTavish, which is what the Sabres need.
Tuch and Greenway may have the size, but both don’t prioritize net front presence. Both on short term deals, the power forward gap is growing vs shrinking.
Does Meatball plan on playing defensive trench warfare with the canes tomorrow, or let the thoroughbreds loose?

Petry and Tatar healthy scratches this season. - TheSabresTaco
Yes and Petry isn't Healthy is he, been dealing with a upper body injury through the beginning of the season. Is this supposed to take my thoughts away from how sh!tty Clifton has been. |

- Jeff Petry cap hit: $2.45M for this season and next
- Connor Clifton cap hit: $3.3M for this season and 2 more
Think I might prefer the lesser cap hit and one season shorter term... |

Maybe Petry has lost a step, but he's proven he can do it. And doesn't help playing through a injury. Look at Bosh, he looks good for Anaheim. |

If we drop the game at home next Monday is McDerp’s job in jeopardy and therefore does Dorsey get fired?
You know what I mean.
I said fire McDerp after 13 seconds and I stand by that. People said it was an overreaction.
That was his peak. Daboll gets fired from the Giants, does he come back here? |

Would be cool, would also like to see a QB specialist as the head coach for a team that is built around the performance of the QB every game.

Nah go get a coach who hasn’t been here previous. Go get new offensive blood. |

Josh shows No enthusiasm on the sidelines, if McDermott and especially Dorsey want to keep there jobs. IMO Let Josh be Josh and let him do what made him a fearless QB. He looks like he is thinking way to much out there and not just playing the game. And again I will call Dorsey out for his layering of WR's, his route tree for WR's is horrible. Saw 3 times last night WR'S running into each other or very close to each other. |

Point of the post is to identify that two guys that this board wanted are poopting all over themselves, and the reason they were so cheap is because orgs forecasted this level of play.
Definitely nothing to do with Clifton, who I hope gives us more as time goes on here.
I am guilty of wanting to take a shot at Tatar. |

Dorsey is using the old Madden 08 Run ‘n Gun playbook and then telling his QB to play like it’s the West Coast offense.

McDermott has taken the Bills as far as he can take them, but he's not getting fired. He took over the playcalling for defense. He'll fire Ken Dorsey as a fall guy, not that it isn't deserved. It's all he can do at this point.

I think I have more faith in Clifton than most, but 12 games in he has not done well at all. He has it in him to play a better game more consistently.
He had a good game against the leafs.

Definitely more games to see re: Clifton, but I might like the idea of Petry at a million less of a cap hit and a year shorter term, at least so far. |

is midseason a good enough time to can your OC or do they need to miss the playoffs to get the hint.
5 games in a row they have looked ridiculous on offense. On a team with this many weapons, that's a joke.
eh. done talking about the bills.
sabres beat the laffs, awesome. impatiently waiting for the savoie promotion and hopefully some news about being allowed to play in the ahl this year.

they've both brought damage to their respective teams on the whole, so I guess the cheaper poison is fine, at least for the first 12 games of a 3 year career in buffalo.
but clifton is also in his prime and petry is almost toast. ill check in throughout the year but for me id rather take clifton, if it's between the two.
he got curb stomped against nj and the first islanders game. other than that, he's been somewhere between good and whatever.

That's cool, Petry is playing hurt. I would have rather had him then Clifton. A lot more proven than Clifton. Hope Clifton finds it, we need him too |

There's a lot of talk both locally and nationally about the Bills just "calling plays" versus "calling a game". I can't speak to that but they're definitely not letting their players do what they do best, and that's a disaster. |

Last elite athlete in Buffalo to have body language like Allen was Eichel...it's very obvious there is a disconnect |
