I forgot to add next year's 4M cap rise. This team has 13M going into the offseason with Joker and Mitts totaling 9. Gave Krebs 0.95 and UPL 1.8.

Sounds like enough to entice Skjei or Pesce, if they're open to the idea.

Yeah, have to keep those 4. Greenway, as well as he's played, is more easily replaceable. We will sign all four to long term deals then I hope.
- QuinnFan

I don't see how that's possible. If you extend Mitts + Joker, even bridging them is going to get tough....if they play up to expectations.

At his numbers, it's 10m for 9 roster spots. Just adding ELC's and cheap deals at that point.

Signing Mitts for 6, Joker for 3, that roster has 9+M in cap space. One of the rookies, maybe 2 make the team. Kyle you're replacing, Girgensons maybe, Jost maybe. There's more than enough money to maneuver the bottom of the roster.

- TheSabresTaco

that lineup has 1 of our recent 5 first round picks of forwards in the lineup leaving out savoie or benson as well as rosen, kulich and ostlund

you have to find a way to get at least 3 of them in your lineup next fall IMO, maybe all but ostlund

Sorry IMO if Mitts gets into the 7Mill range on a LT I think you have to consider moving him. That's a lot if money tied up on LT Contracts, especially if they don't grow into what we hope.
- Buff36

With Cap going up I think you can fit him in pretty easily. 8.5mil over the next 2 years if CF is correct.

You're committing long term to a group that struggles to maintain .500 hockey. Wild

Mitts is probably closer to 7-8 than 6 IMO. If he keeps the pace obviously. Give him the Cozens/Tage contract.
- DirtyDan

Yeah he's not getting more than Tage. See ya then

Right. It's very difficult to accurately predict what happens with those kids.

Salary will be the least of their problems though.

he would be signing the deal 2 years after tage signed what is now a very friendly team deal

side note at this point what makes power worth more ina cap era than tage or casey

I'm skeptical of Quinn. Love him but will he be the same? I think that's a fair question.

What do you guys think Ryjo will command? He was pretty good against the leafs, big play came against one of the worst players in the NHL. Im not sold on him cause of one game.

Peterka 5x5? What do yall think is reasonable for him with a 54pt pace

If I was him and I kept the pace up I'd be asking for the same contract. Not Mitts fault Tage took the low ball.

again casey is a top 5 even strength point scorer in the entire nhl over the last 45 games

1st team all star production at a better clip than even tage

Who scores the 1st goal? Let me guess, John Jason Peterka.

I think Skinner shows the Canes what they're missing out on. The Skinman Cometh tonight.

WOOOOOO! Whether you like the 3ER or hate the 3ER, you better learn to love the 3ER because i'm the best thing going around here . WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Really early to project RJ. Bryson got 2x1.8m. That seems like the minimum, assuming he's a regular next season.

JJ/Quinn will be 4 years from UFA. 5 year deals make no sense. Probably looking at brdiges that might run 3-5m.

I think you'll have an extremely difficult time finding that room in 2 years.

Also can't forget that with all these first round picks, there's still a lot of bonus money out there. 7.3m next year. They won't all hit, but wouldn't crazy to think 4m might.

Fit him now and worry about the cap down the road.

Should be a lot easier to make trades once the caps gone up.

Just created this to give further context to what you're point out:

(I potentially estimated slightly high on all the signings, but not by much)

You can save the money by not re-signing 3 extras.
