Why if you were to say trade for Andersson, he has 2 more years left after this. I would hope Novikov has developed by then, and hopefully Strbak is in Rochester by then. And Johnson I would think you are finding that out over the next year.

To fit a player like Andersson or Dobson, every one of Samuelsson or Jokiharju are going out the door, if needed, to make the necessary cap room.

You make room for top players like that, and focus on continuing to apparently draft well, while making sure you pick at least some defenseman, in drafts annually.

Yeah, I think your ideal candidate is a younger, middle of the road guy who can complement the strong transition players we have with own zone responsibility.

no. Doesn't need to be. I just believe the guy you're getting is, say... a quality, cost controlled two way defenseman.
