Right Now! I would say No. He helps us win Hockey Games. There's plenty of other wasted money that could be dropped. |

Absolutely not. He has become a key figure and vital player to the Sabres success. He scores goals at crucial times and from what I read, he is genuinely loved by his teammates and coaches. Sure, he has his shortcomings, but overall…. He is a huge part of what makes the Sabres a good team. He has a lot of tread left on the tires and his 9 million salary no longer is an anchor. I enjoy watching him play… he has become a one of the cogs for Buffalo |

Was Sanheim rumored to have been available this past offseason?
>>> Travis Sanheim is a beast. 14 points in 14 games. (His card should be even better after next update.) And a lot of Leafs fans wouldn’t trade Knies for Sanheim, who could be 1D in Toronto easily.
- kingcong39
Always liked Sanheim, and how he is playing this year makes you think Philly is grateful they held onto him. I firmly believe he was available last season, as his numbers and overall season was poor. Maybe the front office turnover and a fresh mindset for the organization has helped. He plays big minutes, all situations and this season is putting up offensive stats to bout. He’s like Ristolainen but with skills

He is not worth $9mm on his best day, the anchor may have been pulled up out of the water for now, but it’s still an anchor. |

The last year of his contract could be a selling point to a team looking for Cap and experience. His actual Salary is 5mill |

Kinda sad he has never seen the playoffs.
I have a feeling he would be a major contributor in the playoffs. Hes a Dog.

It’s been a problem for years, in the same positions, by the same players, whatever contract they are on.
The one position of weakness that has shown improvement so far has been goaltending, which like the rest of the team remains inconsistent, but when it’s on, provides a chance to win games.
Last night and tonight are games a team expecting to make the playoffs wins.
As the season progresses and the pressure increases, the “just 1 year” players are going to cost valuable points.
Good on Levi, 2 more goals in that game and I’m $6,000 richer. - Theguywiththething

His value would also never be higher if he puts together another big season.
There is more of a risk of him becoming a $9M third line winger the next couple years and letting Casey walk, then just paying Casey.

Skinner is overpaid by 2 million. He’s producing and scoring. His contract is fair from an anchor.
Okpsoso at 6 mill when he played like a 2 million dollar player is an “anchor” |

It’s because we are playing Pitt in Pitt. I feel like generally we lose those games.
I could be wrong. Just a feeling |

I swear, if you read our stats lines and not see the score, you would wonder how we win.
Out shot 35-25
Out hit 26-15
27% on FO
0-4 on PP

Literally said he was sick of having to discuss the powerplay at the cashout when he and his wife shopped at Wegmans. - Jet Jaguar BD
Well it’s not like he said he hated blue cheese. It would be kinda annoying when some dummy was telling you to just shoooooot!
Bobby Ryan and Erik Karlsson hated never being able to eat at a restaurant in Ottawa for the same reason.
But he should be happy that people care enough about him ya want to talk to him.
I was listening to DEREK Roy on the ATW podcast and he was kinda making a joke about how there was only one place to bug a Hugo Boss suit in Buffalo and he went to a dinner on the road and another Sabre showed up and sat at his table wearing the same suit.
Wonder if he meant Napolis, of course? |

Guess you have to be a bit lucky to have a winning season.
Cozens does not look ready to be back. I like that meatballs finally gave greenway a look on the PP. the second unit it still the laughing stock of the league. 2 log players. Sometimes 3. Seriously. Does he have so little faith in our team that he has to put his “shutdown” 4th li e our for the second half of the PP so we don’t get caught when their guy comes out of the box?
This coach needs to go |

Meatballs staff should be studying film of the successful PP teams. We’ve tried the same shat every game. The worst PK team in the entire league shut us down on the PP. all teams have to do is put a tiny bit of pressure on the boards (Skinner/Cozens) and we turn the puck over. They all pressure us because they actually review film and see we can’t handle the pressure with our guys on the boards. You would think the logical thing to do would be switch it up a bit? Try a different tactic? Try a different approach to zone entry? Put different guys on the boards?

Pretty wild with how everyone has started out pretty much blah this year. That with a Win tonight Buffalo could move into 3rd place in the Division. Imagine if they could actually put together a functioning Bottom 6 how much better they would be. |

>>> Mattias Samuelsson has played better than last year.
The Sabres are 4-6-0 when he plays and 3-0-1 when he’s out
The with/without record last year was the silliest narrative of the offseason. The record this year is also meaningless but a funny example of why it was silly
>>> I looked into it and the games Samuelsson were out were basically all driven by the Sabres goalies being a special level of horrific |

pk slipping
pp struggling
inconsistent 5 on 5 scoring
why are they winning
improved play from power, joker and ryan johnson being in the mix on D
better goaltending from levi and 6k
if you had this d play and goalie play last season, they were a 100 point team |
