I do like a nice one-colored goalie gear setup, and green is one of my favorite colors, but I gotta say I'm not a huge fan of that particular shade of green, it looks off to me for some reason.

a green closer to what the whalers had would've done it for me, but I get what you're saying.

speaking of nice goalie gear, Allen's new mask is just a beauty

I mean, I know it's similar to his other vintage designs but I like every one of them, there's always a simple yet noice vibe to them.

Ottawa will forfeit its first-round draft pick in one of the 2024, 2025 or 2026 Drafts. The determination as to which pick will be forfeited will be made by Ottawa within 24 hours of the conclusion of the Draft Lottery for that year.

The same thing will happen to OTT as it did to NJ back in the day after they got caught with the Kovalchuk contract. They were penalized with the same 1st round pick and had a choice over 3 drafts to choose from. But in the end, NJ waited until the last possible draft to lose the pick, but the NHL rescinded and gave them the 30th (last) overall pick of the 1st round.

I hope the NHL doesn't rescind poop, and may OTT fail miserably at everything they try.

I think you are right. I'd be pissed if I was Andlauer. and would probably sue the league.

The Kovalchuk punishment was (frank)ed. A bunch of teams were doing this and the league did nothing. Then they decide to put their foot down on this one.

Then Kovalchuk quit the league 3 years later

Buttman already thinks about everything the same way a lawyer would, so if Andlauer actually has a case he better be ready.

I agree he has something to be pissed about, with the league never mentioning anything about both the Pinto and the Dadonov situations prior to the team being purchased.

yeah, I don't think I would remember his name so easily if it wasn't for that historical disaster he was part of.

I think "that trade" might have worked out if they had someone actually competent in charge of the organization at the time.

Or, at the very least, not be a complete disaster.
