can the presence of a particular player on the ice really affect the expected goal % of others to that extent? looks like a rather curious calculation, although I'm no advanced stats expert lol.
the worst part is that Andy did get numerous high quality scoring chances, it just never goes in. - Pat1993
Well if one player on the ice doesn't do his job defensively, makes the wrong plays, isn't cycling the puck in the offensive zone, etc. Yeah, it does affect the whole line.
Of course it's a 10 or less game sample, but it shows how much he has struggled when players underlying stats improve when he's off the ice.

tks Karine!
so they played well when it wasn't expected (in Vegas) and did poorly when facing teams coming off a back to back (PHX and STL).
oh well, these things will happen. young team. no problemo.
stay healthy, play the kids. be patient. that goes for goalies too! |

bah, at least he can still be useful from time to time and helps generate momentum, as opposed to a guy like Reaves... - Pat1993
Well, when you consider the price tag of both and the ice time of both and then look at the results for themselves along with their teams you realize both teams have a Ryan reaves |

silly 'Murican, it sure seems like you forgot to mention the Alouettes going to the CFL final, which is obviously where the real manly football is at.

Turns out you can check player's phones as long as it's to see if they've been gambling |

still don't get that whole thing, as long as they aren't betting on NHL games, who cares if millionaires are placing bets in other sports and/or leagues?
plus there's the obvious hypocrisy from the NHL of having sponsorships and business deals with gambling services such as BET 99. |

While it was not fully explained, it had something to do with a 3rd party making bets using his account or something like that.

ohh right, guys are allowed to bet but can't use a bookie... still don't get the big deal, unless that is against state laws or something.
besides Pinto should be dishing out headshots instead of gambling, it wouldn't have cost him 41 games to give a concussion to an opponent. |

i disagree. the (frank) uses a bookie these days. degenerate gamblers. that's who. and also the obvious optics of throwing games cause he is in large to a bookie comes into play. |
