Miller cleared the puck out of play for a delay of game. They still didnt score on it either, but they ended up with 3D on the ice, bunch of guys out of position and a screen on Quick. He didnt even move when it went in, had no idea it was coming.

was a bit tongue in cheek, but i was more talking about the goodrow call.

it's w/e - specials last night were excellent all around. 5v5 was too.

Pretty cool how we were worried about a slow start under a new coach and the complete opposite has happen just keep banking pts, winning the division is crucial this year

Cuylle has now scored as many goals as Lias scored in the 63 games he played for us. Lias sure was a bad draft pick, but he was a good trade

Even the biggest Gallant supporters can see the difference when you have a coach with a plan

They really tried their hardest to give that game away. 2 great periods and 1 awful period.

Edit: A discussion needs to be had about Wheeler within the organization.

Yeah, NST is down. So I'm waiting for that to come back to see the period breakdown. Really good 40 minutes. Last 20, eh not so much. Thought Quick was good for the most part again. He's giving a big F U to me. I think once Chytil comes back that 3rd line with Trocheck might be good.

I'm starting to agree with your brother. I think I'd rather have Othmann in Wheeler's spot. Wheeler is trying, but I think his tank might be empty.

Kakko is slow. He's gotten slower as he's been in the NHL. He doesn't look like this at all.

I don't think it's that he has gotten slower. I think he is playing slower. Which is likely a huge part of the troubles he's having.
On another point, it really stood out last night that Laffy put some work into his skating this year!!! Hell of a game from him.

I just dont know if I want to pull Othmann yet from AHL.

Honestly as crappy as it is, having Fox on LTIR is kind of a big deal for us cap wise. Im not sure if it goes by his base salary or just AAV in general. But assuming he misses atleast 10 games… it will save us 1.2m of salary and 950k from the AAV cap. Thats a nice chunk, especially if we keep winning games.

But doesnt Chytil also save us money? Last year they had someone dress but didnt have him log a single minute because if he didnt step on the ice he wouldnt count against our cap for the day.

That was Schneider. I think you're right. Someone (maybe Jan) said the other day that IR would still count against the cap and LTIR wouldn't. Maybe that was off?

Cause Chytil not playing would save us around an extra 50k per game not played.

You're right it was Schneider vs the Kings. I was at that game. But that was because they refused to Lindgren on LTIR.

Pretty good game last night, other than those couple minutes in the 3rd. Cullye is looking better and better each game. Panarin needs to save some for the playoffs Laf looks like a new player. Zib was much more noticeable offensively last night.

Quick has been really good, despite the rough preseason. Apparently he is really liked and amazing in the locker room according to that interview with Trochek last night.
