I don't consider KK slow. His style of play just isn't based on speed and that is an adjustment he needs to make to some extent, 'cause this league is for burners.
As for that chart, yes it's based on numbers. But, it isn't based on situational play, so it is inherently flawed. Like someone joked, Wheeler seems (at least right now) to be skating his fastest after he is already out of position. He took back to back penalties last night because he couldn't stay with his man and had to impede him. That is a clear sign that he's not fast enough regardless of what the numbers say. - Tonybere
Its just data points. Its the exact opposite of biased- its objective raw data. Someone's interpretation of the data can be biased but the numbers are what they are for whatever reason you want to hang on it. |

That was my point, although I may not have laid it out too well.
If Wheeler's fastest speed bursts all come when he is trying to catch up to the play then who gives a fu ck how fast he can be???? |

I am speaking from memory now, but I dont think the chart was capturing fastest speeds but capturing the number of times a player reaches 20 +MPH on the ice (regardless of reason) |

Just to be clear, as I’ve stated several times, my argument was never about one player being better than the other due to 20+ mph speed bursts |

Yes, over 20 mph would be ANY player's fastest bursts. But, if those fastest bursts come from desperation, who cares?????? |

I think the rangers are a 1RW short of being in the cup favorite conversations. Whoever that player is I’m not sure. Maybe Othmann, maybe Kane lol but I don’t think it’s Kakko or Wheeler. It’s more than likely a TDL acquisition again like Tarasenko. To me Duclair is the most sensible target for that spot via trade. It won’t cost us much assets or commitment to him since he’s a UFA next season. Kakko probably will get another chance at some point if Wheeler isn’t cutting it (last night be did not cut it lol) but I’m willing to give him a few more games. Maybe not 11, but a few more |

to prove faster not better but it really doesn't do that either. since its more than likely a wide-open hockey system increases your quantity IMO

For the sake of familiarity and the fact that they had success last year, Id like to see them make a run at Tarasenko again. Imagine bringing him back into the conversation and the how well things clicked despite GG. |

good thing there is that Ottawa gave Tarasenko a full NTC so he'll be able to dictate where he goes if they do fall out of it completely |

Guess it would depend on Ottawas standings and if they’ll make the playoffs or not. I think they envision themselves in the playoff hunt all year. But I’d be on board with that for shizzle. That is Drurys MO a bit with Ottawa (Motte), reuniting with TDL acquisitions so it’s definitely possible
I know im in the minority, but I’d love to see othmann there for at least a cup of coffee before they make a trade. I realize it’s probably not in the cards just yet tho |

Cutter Gauthier and Gabe Perreault are pals now, but once Cutter is on Flyers and Gabe is with the Rangers they will need to cut that poop out, gonna be rivals for years
kind of the opposite of Cuylle and Othmann, they were junior hockey rivals |

No you are taking (frank)ing stupid pills.
Posting a chart of 20+ MPH bursts doesnt prove he is fast or faster than an individual player. |
