Suppose they try Chytil on RW with Zib and Kreider? I’m pretty sure they played together last year, and/or previously. Obviously leaves a hole at 2 or 3C but that could be filled via trade too.
I don’t see the rangers trading Fil for a rental. Kakko maaaaaybe but probably not him either. Drury will do something tho he always does - Slimtj100
If they trade for Lindholm he will be resigned. |

I think he needs new sticks. Or stick company. His shot is like John Scott’s shot used to be |

You're not wrong. But for what everr reason it's not working. They obviously need somebody better than Wheeler or Kakko. - blacksheep1
put 72 on that wing

I do not want any part of Bonino as top 9 player by choice. Now, it's fine because they only have Brodzinski as an option. |

I know pinto is tainted at the moment, but would we down the road do pinto for Kakko?
It’s gambling. He didn’t do anything criminally unless I’m missing something. To me he got a raw deal since he didn’t Pete rose it or anything like that
I do sympathize with gamblers tho |

This is the thing…we didn’t have him fully healthy and he still did “ok”. He wasn’t awful. Did he underwhelm? 100%. I don’t see him not wanting to be here again so I don’t think money is the main factor. I truly believe he wants to win a cup in NYC. Ala Messier in a sense. Knowing how this town would feel if he were a piece that took us over the top. He’s showtime ffs he would relish that moment.
Do the rangers want to go down that road again tho? I think it’s 50-50 at best. But if they continue need another RW I think they’d do it and I think Kane would take very little money this year and next to play here again. Jmo
If you told me the rangers tomorow could trade Kakko for a highly regarded RHD prospect, and sign Kane for 2.5 that Kakko is getting, I’d do that.
I will get hit by flying objects but I can’t take Kakko much longer I’m at my wits end with him |

The thing with Kakko too is, our winger pipeline is pretty golden. It’s the strongest part of the pipeline, so I don’t think trading him for a different area of need is the worst idea. He could blossom elsewhere I realize that, but he’s the slooooowest blooming flower I’ve ever seen (not speed wise either, just his progression/development) |

He's not aggressive doing anything. Like Laf, he showing now when he goes the net the majority of the time, he's looking to score. He did that before, just not frequently enough. When was the las time Kakko looked like that? |

I really thought he’d take off this year, and it’s been more of crash landing

This! And we don't have to trade any assets ( other than Goodrow ) to get Kane, unlike the other proposals here. |
