Its wild that Gustafsson has been a bit of a journeyman/trade chip since 2020. Since the start of 2019, hes been on 7 different teams (8 stops, he went back to Chicago for a season). Gotta imagine he's gonna go for the pay day and stability. Hes gotta be sick and tired of packing up and moving around for the last 3 years.

Keep rubbing it in. He wasn't good, but eight penalties, including one by Uzomah that cost Hall a td, didn't help

The Jets shot themselves in the foot. They could have gone out and traded for Dobbs. Instead of management putting the team in a position to win and to give Aaron Rodgers a team that could be looking at a playoff spot, theres pretty much no reason to even play Rodgers.

They were too stubborn with Wilson. Thinking he would win them enough games w/o Rodgers. Didn’t get a backup worthy guy, Malik Willis, or Dobbs, or something like that. Just anyone other than what they have, or they would’ve tried them already if they were any good, Boyle or Seimian is what I mean. I’d trade Wilson for Malik Willis. Zach can back up Levis next year. At least with Willis you could form a potent rushing attack with Hall, like a two headed monster type thing. Willis can’t throw but him running is at least moving the ball forward they don’t throw it in the end zone anyway. Because you know Rodgers will get hurt next year too, because it’s the Jets

Would anyone do:

-Goodrow (waiving is unlikely)
-Kakko
-Schneider
-prospect (ie-Sykora)

and a few picks. 1st and 2nd rders

(Cuylle, Chytil, Othmann are untouchable)

For Lindholm and Hanafin (one of them half retained)

The money would be close. Maybe 1 million more coming to NY

Kreider Zib Lindholm
Panarin Trocheck Laf
Cuylle Chytil Wheeler
Vesey Bonino Pitlick

Lindgren Fox
Miller Trouba
Gus Hanafin
Jones

I know this is a joke but the fact that it was normal in like 2021 to certain people to use communism and “mask wearer” interchangeably makes me sad for the state of our education system. It feels like that was decades ago but really it was lafs rookie season

I agree with Vlad that something like this has to come with extensions being signed. You gotta give to get in this regard. I would be more apt to move Lindgren as opposed to Schneider though. Yes it would be a blow but in the end it would make the team better.

Ya know I thought Hanafin was a RHDI think Calgary would be more interested in Schneider over Lindgren tho, younger with less miles on his body. One or the other in the deal

I just don’t see them giving up a promising young, cost controlled, d man who is already a starter.

The juice is not worth the squeeze in regards to getting Hanafin.

I worry what trading Lindgren would do to the locker room, guys like that are hard to replace. If Im Drury Id be focusing more on what I can do to resign Gustafsson than trade for Hanafin.

The cost to resign Hanafin will probably be close to what it would cost to resign Lindgren and Gustafsson combined. Its just not worth it.

In regards to getting Lindholm, all this upper body injury stuff with Chytil, Id probably be looking to trade him. Honestly if were gonna do this...

to NYR: Lindholm and Dube
to CGY: Chytil, Kakko, 1st
