We should’ve bought out goodrow and signed sprong when we had the chance. That was what I wanted to happen. Instead we got goodrow and wheeler making double what Sprong + a replacement 4th liner make with 2 combined points. C'est la vie |

not much they can do tho. JBrod only played because Goodrows wife gave birf.
I’m happy to see Cuylle and Kakko together, I think that will unlock Kakko a bit. Less pressure too - Slimtj100
Except bonino is centering them for now. Hopefully chytil is back after the 7 days |

That's also a problem because they are so thin at RW because Goodrow makes almost 4 million dollars. |

He’ll be gone by the end of this coming off-season I’m certain of it. |

I get that chytil is hurt but Bonino and goodrow are the worst two offensive forwards we have, by regular numbers, fancy numbers, and the eye test. They shouldn’t be close to the top 9 unless there’s multiple injuries. Bonino is fine as 4c. Goodrow can go to the moon for all I care, but he won’t because of his contract. Brod should be in over one of them (but definitely goodrow) and centering the 3rd line. Cuylle and kakko are going to be severely weighed down - picklerick
I, personally, would have preferred that they kept Brod there. I think Brod with Cuylle and Kakko could work well. |

Idk man I thought for sure they would’ve bought him out this past offseason.
As much we/you guys dislike him the org values him 🤷🏻♂️it’s unfortunate the pandemic hit because certain salaries wouldn’t look as bad, Trouba too |

I thought JBrod had a rough game in minny (so did alot of guys) so maybe that’s why he’s a scratch |

You can’t have a forward making $3.6m putting up 15 points or whatever he ends up with this year. They have players to resign and a roster to build. I’m sure he’s gone |

If we made a trade with CGY, Id love for us to try to package in Dylan Dube. Dump Goodrow and give that money to Dube on a new contract. |

So, Kakko has been just as productive at 5v5 as our 2 top line staples and it's his fault that they aren't doing better. Got it. So, what you're saying is that KK was put on that line to drive play for Zibby and Kreider and make them better.
Seriously, take a step back and look at how out to lunch this thinking is. |

It's not his fault. But he's not getting better. He's regressing, offensively that is. |

The guy Trouba wrecked with a hit and a fight in the same game. That would be funny. |

Seems to me tones with all due respect that you are completely dismissing what this duo has done in the ranger sweater long before they had Kakko as a linemate |

Rangers had the perfect opportunity to buy him out this past offseason and passed on it. Just don’t see it anymore |

Let’s think of it a new way, maybe Kakko and Cuylle become the next Kreider and Zib duo! |

I see your point, TJ. And maybe I am. I just think that they are so good together that if they were playing that way, they would all have better 5v5 numbers. KK hasn't been a defensive liability and he's not taking a bunch of penalties, so I don't feel he's so bad that he would prevent those 2 from success. So, in my mind, it must be true that 93 and 20 are not playing up to their usual standards either.
I see it as a matter of time for the trio and I just hate the idea that they may be broken up before that time comes.
I will move on now, because I'm sure some here have tired of this subject. |

Still a good buyout option next offseason - picklerick
It’s that 3rd year that stings. I do agree with you tho I’m ok buying him out, I just don’t see it happening like TPC said they had a golden opportunity to do it |
