Wheeler will be the anchor on that line, literally. If you thought KK was slow, Wheeler will make KK look like a speed demon.
I dont have much hope for Wheeler to work out on the first line. - Brukie

I was thinking it was total bullpoop at first, going by what I remember of game speeds over the years. Took a deeper look for me to realize that the speeds I had heard in the past were actually km/h, not mph!!! I thought, "how the hell are there only 100 skaters going over 20!!!" |

You’re reading the slowest players table backwards. Bread was slightly faster
Maybe, probably, wheeler isn’t the answer there. Kakko ain’t it either right now. And kakko is way slower by the numbers - picklerick
Who are we kidding.... First line RW spot is a holding place for when Kane says he's ready to go.... Kakko will get traded for a defense piece and we'll be off to the races. |

They literally cannot sign Kane as they are eating into their future cap space with having Fox and Chytil on IR. |

Depth I am sure. We're down Fox and there's already concerns here about Schneider and Jones. I'm most likely wrong, but wouldn't be surprised to see Kakko go for a solid defensive player to make us stronger for a cup run. |

Isn't Fox on LTIR? That should mean we are accumulating cap space, not eating it. At least where he is concerned. |

The extent to which hes hurt Im curious about. Honestly. Because its early in the season and were atop the Metro right now, they probably feel theres no reason to put him out there if hes dinged up or sore or pulled something. Im sure if Quick didnt have as good a start to the year as he did, sans the Wild game cause the team let the Wild skate circles around them after the first, maybe he doesnt start back to back games. |

Yes, I thought I conveyed that in my comment.
My point is that we are eating cap space by having Brodzinski's $762,500 and Jones' $800,000 on the books, but at the same time, we are saving way more with Fox's $9.5M off the books. It should be net positive. |

He is. But pre -LTIR they had rough 900k in cap space. They get temporary relief when Fox is on LTIR. The original balance they had gets used for domingue, Brodzinksi, and Mackey. thus taking away cap space when they had in excess. When Fox comes back, the space they had for LTIR is gone. |

Inexcusable, horrible reffing in game, followed by an unconscionable, willfully ignorant decision by DoPS.

Really? 'Cause I've played some form of hockey for 45 years now and I don't remember where it says you're allowed to run into a player while the puck is 75 feet away and you're looking right at him. |

You don't seem to be including the $49,479 we gain every day that Fox is on LTIR, or a minimum of $494,790. I get that it's not much in terms of recalling a contract, but it allows for more flexibility down the road, if needed. Unless I am totally misunderstanding the process.

They 50k they gain (and more) is being used as Domingue, Brodzinski and Mackey are here.
