Really sheds light on Lysell being a dud. What is up with this kid? Hamill part II?

I mean he has 9 points in 10 games in Providence so far. Last year I think there was a bit more of a learning curve for him plus an injury. We will see what the year brings. If anything, he might be more of a Alexander Khokhlachev. We wont know until he actually gets a call up.

That's exactly who I was thinking of...Koko. I'm not throwing the towel in on him just yet. I don't think he's well suited to 4th line play so he will have to wait on someone higher in the lineup going out with injury.

I was looking at the overall schedule and can I just say...why the hell doesn't the NHLPA raise a stink out the number of back-to-backs with travel that have games less than 24 hours apart?

Ah! Well (frank) me then! Maybe just taking it slow. Letting him cook. Not a bad thing.

We will see. A full season in Providence with hopefully no injuries will do him good I think. I'm willing to bet he breaks camp next year if he continues this play.

EDIT: Also John Farinacci is looking like a decent pick up so far too.

I dont get this either. So many instances of both back to backs AND 3 games in 4 nights. Second half of the season is going to be a rough one.

Saw that last night. Promising but lysell still hasn’t showed much jam or willingness to battle. The Bruins play a hard to play against style and everyone is expected to play hard on the boards. Poitras is small but still gets in there and battles for the puck.

I have yet to see Lysell do any of that. Hopefully Providence is pushing that point. Would be nice to have some more skill to sprinkle into the lineup.

A fair point. Hopefully this year in providence does him some good. If not then then next year's judgment will be far harsher. The kid oozes skill, has good speed, can pass and shoot. Just needs to put it together with a halfway decent compete level and I think it will come together. Time will tell.
