Jones has said they don't mind Michcov playing in the khl for 3 years as it aligns with their thoughts on the rebuild. Echoed by Briere too. You think they have shifted that line of thinking? - 26912 PP1
What else could they say about Michov? He is there for 3 years regardless of their rebuild timeline. Also, when has a Flyer executive ever told the truth went speaking to the media or fanbase? |

If Hart weren't hurt I'd be on the phone yesterday with Edmonton. Talk about a team on desperate net minding. - Pelle31Forever
You have seen what Hartless goaltending looks like. |

Honest question…
The power play is again abysmal. Can’t win in this league with an at least decent power play.
So, I ask… how is Asst. coach Rocky Thompson, participant of 25 NHL games with 0G/0A/0P qualified to run the PP?!?! |

He doesn't need to be manipulated. He knows that part of the reason he, Jonesy and their 0 years of NHL front office experience were hired were to run cover and, if necessary, jump in front of any bullets aimed for Torts. It's wierd that the lowest man on the totem pole was hired before his bosses and his bosses were hired with the understanding that Torts was their boss in all but title?
I wonder what the analytics people say about that power structure? Who cares! Torts doesn't and he's in charge ... - Flyers_01
That's the manipulation.

Lack of playing experience should not be the point-Hitch and Hartley never played a game either. But incompetence is a huge point |

Agree on Foerster, want to see what happens when he gets 1. Farabee nice game and playing well.
Your feedback on Torts presser after the game, his response about Frost. Seems to me, he was defensive, usually means guilty - wcorvette
I wish the friendly flyer press core had a capacity like Larry Brooks. |

Looks like current coaching staff is wearing thin and ineffective. - missingmike
Torts wearing a campfire jacket is so ridiculous. He is just trying to show he doesn't really care. Soon he will let the guest coaches coach the games. |

just continuing your point. I do not get fascination with the ex-flyers successes or failures.
Also, G did not leave on his own volition. - missingmike

Tortorella is a very mediocre coach. As was said yesterday, he's one of the worst coaches you could have for a rebuild.

The Flyers are building a culture here and Tortorella is leading the way. An identity based on hard work, 200 foot play and playing the right way. The Flyers way. It's only a matter of time until that effect kicks in. The Flyers are at the forefront of the NHL. The obvious team of the future led by the hands down Jack Adam's winner. They don't even have a full lineup with the Flyers best defenseman out all season. A lineup so stacked with offensive firepower. They don't even need one of their leading scorers from last season. A culture of leadership led by one of the great leaders in the NHL, Nic Deslauriers. Which is why his line starts many games. They set the tone for what follows. - MJL
Hey, don't be crapping on Nick D, that was a good butt-kicking he put on the Smith last night in the 1st period. Set the tone for the rest of the game
I don't know what is going on with this team to be honest. They keep making marginal NHL goalies look like Patrick Roy, and what's frustrating is it's been this way for several years now. I think the Flyers are trying to inject more speed and skill into their lineup, but so far they are falling way short. Just look at the players they had out their at the end of the game last night. If you are counting on Laughton to score a highlight reel goal, you are in trouble. The Flyers just do not have that 1 or 2 offensive leaders in their lineup. They have complimentary pieces, plenty of them, but no pure lights out goal scorers. |

and don't forget that Torts let him play head coach last year while he was eating popcorn in the press box with Briere. A move to be copied by other NHL coaches from the forward thinking Flyers.

I know what is going on with this team. A lack of high end talent and the wrong coach. Not to mention an ass-backwards front office blinded by bullpoop.

Flyguys will be in the last place in the East by Turkey Day. The tankers approve!! - Phillywhiteout
Soon last in the Metro, when Pens have played their 2 games in hand. Well, i had the flyers or Crapitools last in the Metro anyway. |

They're basically last now. Worst winning percentage in the Metro. Currently sitting 24th overall in the NHL. I was told just a few days ago how it's different this year and the Flyers have made significant improvement. Looking at the schedule, it's easy to see the losses piling up in the next week or so.

Torts after the game was asked if it was a tough decision to take Frost out of the lineup and he said "No". I'm sorry, I can't get behind this one bit. I understand Torts does not like Frost, but the Flyers just signed him to a 2 year extension, the kid needs to play. This to me is indicative to a clear disconnect between Torts and Briere. |

It's indicative of Tortorella being an bumhole. If it wasn't for injuries last season. Frost would've never had the opportunity he had.

Are you going to say this about every Flyers front office? You said this about the Scott/Fletcher front office also, and in hindsight with good reason. But don't you think it's a bit early to conclude this for the Hilferty/Jones/Briere front office? |
