Ok man. I see a goalie fighting the game tonight. And one who has not even come close to playing enough Pro games but to mention let alone NHL games to anoint him an NHL calibre goalie.
Potential absolutely. Has he proven it? Nope.
I know better than to continue with you here bud so this back and forth is done (with you).
Also:
His AHL SV% stats:
- .880 in 32 starts
- .892 in 15 starts
- .907 in 15 starts
- .927 in 21 starts
Except for last season (2.37) his GAA were all above 3.

Mitch and PAPI good for 7 pts combined tonight.
The two superstars gonna drag them to a victory.
The middle six is cooling off, well, the second line is.
Maybe Domi and Knies show up tonight. - Arctic_AARDVARK

When were those low numbers ? This year? Last year?
Sorry man but if you are going to spew bull poop and say the numbers are wrong because it’s what you see I’ll call you out on it.
You are stubborn and quite frankly I don’t think you understand a lot of things. |

Hopefully come out a bit harder and dont let up at all. Better focus. This could be a great period, or this could get ugly. No real in between this season. |

So what stats are relevant when judging a prospects Pro talent and capabilities? If a player is abysmal at the AHL level he should get the call up? That doesn’t make sense man.

So your play in Jr - gets the draft - draft gets you unless you are a super talent - a Pro contract usually starting in AHL for majority - play on AHL gets you a shot in the NHL.
Bot my eyes or opinion - that’s how she goes bud |

How about instead of picking an unnecessary fight - Woll isn't looking as comfortable tonight. His glove has been a bit slow, it's been more ineffective at trapping the puck, his rebounds have been ok, but not as controlled as we've seen them and his net positioning / poise is a lot busier than it is when it's on top of his game.
For all intents and purposes he is an AHL goalie until he's established himself as an NHL goalie. He's been excellent more often than not in his short NHL career - but so far this year he has a 40% quality start percentage. His two elite games that have buoyed his stats were relief games against Tampa after Sammy crapped the bed.
So I want this kid to be great - but so far he has work to do on his consistency and especially as a starter - where I do have higher expectations.

Those are his stats (hockey db). Totals. Ever. That’s my point. He’s barely played pro hockey and he being anointed a legit nhl tender. Christ goalies that play full seasons go away. This guy had like what 7 starts leading into this season? |

Dude, GAA and S% are never seriously used by mgmt/scouts when evaluating gaoltending talent. |

To be honest, I’m more a fan of the idea of eating bison than actually eating bison.
It’s just too lean to lean to be really tasty. |

He's been good but yeah he hasnt elevated to really lay claim to the starter job. Honestly, still think need a steady vet who's been there, done that and gone through it all to help him deal with the pressures. Better than Sammy with him havin issues. |

I'm not picking any fights, I'm merely stating that surface level AHL statistics are not very relevant in assessing goaltender quality.
If you want to carry - or defend - a narrative that he is or isn't NHL-quality based on minor league statistics, knock yourself out. |

Fortunately, there are scouts/mgmt who assess goalies on more than minor leagues stats and/or how cool their name sounds. |
