Is there any doubt that if Couturier and Atkinson hadn't been hurt last season, that Frost never would've gotten a shot last season? - MJL
What I don't understand is while Torts is in front of Briere and Jones with the camera rolling he states Frost has really improved, had a good camp and gives him flexibility right before the season starts, and then does this? How can the entire front office gain credibility when they produce these new era of Orange videos and then act completely opposite of what they have stated they wanted to do?? They are just starting off on such a bad footing here. |

I know you don't understand. What have I been telling you for how long now about Tortorella? Yet you keep parroting and referencing his statements. Starting off on such a bad footing? LOL. That bad footing was planted the day they hired Tortorella.

Honestly, with what is obviously going on in the front office, what is so bright about this team's future?
Realize it now. With Jones and Tortorella in charge, Flyers fans are screwed. We are in for another round of the same period we went through with Fletcher and Scott. - MJL
Interesting that you don't mention Briere here, like he is not part of the equation? |

I'd like to know how a fan views Frost as not an NHL player with the production he had last season. It's hysterical. - MJL
Hmmmm .. you mean others are saying the same thing about Frost that I have been saying? Imagine that ... |

So Bill, is this the first example of real dissent between Briere (who I presume signed Frost to the two year extension) and Torts/Jones? I agree with you about Frost even though I am not a fan of the player, he was signed and should be playing and given a chance to show what he can and at the very least create a market for himself. - jd250
If I am GMDB I trade one of Torts inner circle players. Give Torts they old meat thud to the forehead.

Yes, apparently there are many delusional and uninformed Flyers fans out there. Probably all in the same group of fans that like Ristolainen and Deslauriers. Flyers have them right where they need them!

Does Briere have the power to trade a player independent of approval from Jones and Tortorella?

I was going to post that exact thought. Maybe if Frost would drop them or run around crashing into people. He would get more love. - MJL
It wouldn't hurt .. but then again, Frost couldn't! |

In terms of title yes. Does Jones actually have to sign off on a trade? I am legit asking. Not sure POHO has actual veto rights.

because the coach is a fraud. actions baby all actions.
York Cates Tippet Frost and the Forest are not looking all that hot. One can say they have regressed. You really see them reaching thier "potential" with this coaching staff? This team is so far away |

Titles are just titles. If Briere had leverage. I believe Frost would be playing.

But let me be clear, my beef with Torts is not about the evaluation of the player (which I know you disagree with), but how the player is being treated now that Briere signed him to an extension. It should have been made clear that Frost plays this entire season regardless of how the coach feels about him. Otherwise Briere should have traded Frost before the season started. What they are doing now is complete lunacy and I feel for Frost who is stuck in the middle. Frost does not deserve this. |

The problem is that you agree with the evaluation and can't support it with facts.

Not sure GMDB can make Torts play a specific player if Torts has alternate options. Torts is the coach and makes the lineup. However, GMDB can flex his positional muscle and move a player that Torts favors. GMDB could also eliminate all other options so he is forced to use Frost.
Easiest move would be to send Foerster and Mete back to the Phantoms. Only have 18 skaters to dress. Frost has to dress.

They had to go to Tortorella last year to tell him to play the younger players more. It's been done before. I'm not going to go along with a suggestion to toy around with another young player to favor another.

Or maybe other teams feel the same way about Frost that Torts, myself, and apparently hoards of other Flyer fans out there do, and there was not trade value for Frost. |

Foerster was just an example because he did not require waivers. I agree I want Foerster playing at the NHL level.
GMDB could drop a nuke and waive ND.
In the end, all three heads are fine with Frost sitting seemingly. I am just pointing out that GMDB could get it done if he really wanted to. Even if he was being overridden by Torts and Jones he still could get it done.

That's fantasy. There are already reports from legitimate sources such as Eliotte Freidman that other teams have already contacted the Flyers about Frost. Nice try.

Yes, we are all just a "basket of deplorables" it seems.
BTW, every day we see York and Sanhiem play it further supports my accurate claim that Risto was and is the Flyers BEST defenseman! |
