Yeah, I'll admit to knowing nothing about Klingberg's contract either, but getting out from one of the long term contracts would be worth it and that's a good return! I mean, you get the draft picks (although they won't be high ones) and Knies! Knies is the prize in the deal to me. I was watching the Laffs game against the Bolts on Monday night, and he was playing on the first line with Matthews and Marner. He is a LW which the Flyers could use and he plays a physical game (6'2" 210 21 years old) with lots of talent to go with it. Also saw that the Laffs are looking for a shut down center and would like Coots if he wasn't paid so much. Make it a package deal and get out from under both of those albatross contracts! - Phillywhiteout
Highly improbable. Knies should be untouchable with his skill and physicality on a team with no sandpaper save Reaves the slug. Klingberg and his contract for D men is what Petersen and his contract is to goalies. Sanheim will be 28 in season. Toronto would be very foolish to part with Knies to dump Klingberg’s expiring contact to get essentially a #3 or #4 in not so young Sanheim.

I'm just saying from a Flyers standpoint I'd absolutely do it! That's why I said that I'd pack Sanheim's things and drive him to the airport. |

Klingberg's contract is a better situation for the Flyers than the Petersen deal. It's 850K cheaper and it expires this year. Petersen has one more year after this at a higher AAV.

Race to the bottom begins tonight, they could lose 10 more in a row, 9 of the teams should beat them and CBJ is in the middle of the 10 game stretch, easy to fold in that one. |

… and the oilers lose in regulation to the sharks. And I thought we were in a mess. That’s a gong show. And Campbell who has 4 years left at 5 mil is in the ahl. Started last night and lost. Omg. |

Maybe a team going through a rebuild and looking for young players that had close to a 50 point season and 20 goals will make the Flyers an offer for Frost. We need some more 30+ year olds to round out this team, perhaps a goon or two as well. |

no issue with the players but that franchise deserves this, tanking forever, getting generational talent.

Honestly Gus looked cooked here. Embarrassing that he’s playing that well now…kinda like he was just going through the motions here cashing his pay cheque. - landros 2
whatever happened to the original Gus? Still toiling in europe? |

Supposedly going to be playing with Konecny and Tippett. - MJL
The bottom line is for Frost to stay in the lineup he needs to score some points. Torts complimented Frost's play away from the puck and has said he is satisfied with his defensive play, but now he needs to push more offense. I agree with this assessment since it echoes my assessment of Frost for the past two years; that he is too much of a perimeter player. However, whether he puts points up or not right away, Frost needs to stay in the lineup! He should have the same opportunity to find his game as York or any other player would have. Torts needs to think big picture here! It's not about winning games now, it's about developing assets that will help this team win games down the road, either by their play on the team or by becoming strong trade capital. |

Your assessment of Frost's play continues to be inaccurate. Similar to your assessment for pretty much every player. Still worshiping the alter of Tortorella and parroting everything he says. Also continuing your habit of misreading statements made by others in a delusional attempt to support your narratives. |
