You never know about the lottery outcome. But I would feel really bad if San Jose does not get the firsr choice.
The fourth selection overall would be a really great outcome for the Blackhawks. Have to like even the third best forward or top dman to choose among.

Not as far as I am thinking...The top two are elite, and I ma not sure the Belarusian RD is going to walk-in before our other RD Rinzel,
Sure, you could take a bigger defender, one of the LD, but they do not appeal as the type of offensive defender they need...they would need a
#43 the 3rd Hughes brother-type there at slot #3 to like it as a selection, a guy who despite needing so much improvement as defender, he skates well enough, is big enough, and can play the first power player from the Right point.
I just don't like the uncertainty to a Ivan Demidov North American introduction date, and the same with the big LD Russian, Anton Silayev, and there seems truly to be something to his game at both ends, and it is tantalizing to think we could have another giant mobile backliner, but this prospect group lacks a big boy upfront and there isn't one I would reach for, that is why I want one to the two top forwards. Thy go to college, and then find their way to Chicago soon and aren't going to be backstopping to long term developmental guys but guys who will be offensive generators and scorers.
The above would be more likely an outcome from fortunate lottery than we actually had the fourth worse record. But we might actually wind up with fourth worse record - let us see how we are standing come roughly Jan 1 '24 as half way mark of season is near and we may discern better how the finish might turn out.

You can finish 4th worst and select 6th too...
