Or the importance of impotence.

2 for Mikheyev 👍 - mr.sir
Glad to see him doing well finally. He just had a lot of injuries and really couldnt seem to get it back going. Do wonder if its just that leafy curse where we misuse and dont let a player succeed. Scary he and Lafferty are doing so well there. |

Ya that’s puck though too man. It’s a fickle game sometimes. Great player good players switch teams and struggle - mediocre players thrive going somewhere else. It’s all about team system, how they are used, line mate chemistry - it’s the way she goes. |

Lightning game turned into a tire fire.
How do you lose to a Chicago team that has Mrazek in net?
Bedard. That's how. - GalacticStone
Mrazek is having a relatively good season. 2.81GAA and .923 Save %.

Which honestly comes back to the team identity/system etc and that all falls on Keefe. Need that change first and foremost. |

Yes, thank you to the leafs for Mik and Laff, both have been excellent in their roles. Not to mention they are both very fast. We’ve had a slow team for years so they are both welcome additions. |

He has looked pretty solid this year. And that Bedard kid is fun to watch. |

Must be. That's usually the explanation when a mediocre player suddenly comes alive and looks better than usual. It's too bad some of them can't play at that level all the time, contract year or not. |

Interesting to see who’s tied with SJ for last overall in the league. (Hint: they lost to them last night.) |

I mean, we all knew the Oilers were not perfect.
But holy crap what a fall.
At this point they'd need to be red hot the rest of the season to just make the playoffs.

Its time for a new voice.
Let keefe go, so he can reunite with the bf in Pittsburgh |

Looks like the Oilers couldn't afford him not scoring at a 150pts pace to win games.

Everybody here loved Mikheyev - a very fun player to watch.
But as you no doubt know by now, the excitement he provides is sadly a lot lower than the actual contributions he makes to winning.
He's a classic case of "I wish him well, but I'm glad we didn't re-sign him at that cap hit." |

With last night's loss, they are on pace to finish with 34 points.
Using last year's 95 points as a benchmark, they need 90 points in their remaining 70 games. That's the equivalent of 105 points over 82 games.
Still within the realm of possibility, as the Oilers put up 109 points last year.
But there is zero room for error now. if they don't turn this thing around immediately, they will be eliminated by St. Andrew's Day. |
