Yes, thank you to the leafs for Mik and Laff, both have been excellent in their roles. Not to mention they are both very fast. We’ve had a slow team for years so they are both welcome additions.

But holy crap what a fall.

At this point they'd need to be red hot the rest of the season to just make the playoffs.

But as you no doubt know by now, the excitement he provides is sadly a lot lower than the actual contributions he makes to winning.

He's a classic case of "I wish him well, but I'm glad we didn't re-sign him at that cap hit."

With last night's loss, they are on pace to finish with 34 points.

Using last year's 95 points as a benchmark, they need 90 points in their remaining 70 games. That's the equivalent of 105 points over 82 games.

Still within the realm of possibility, as the Oilers put up 109 points last year.

But there is zero room for error now. if they don't turn this thing around immediately, they will be eliminated by St. Andrew's Day.
