John Klingberg is injured, according to Sheldon Keefe, and will be replaced in the #leafs lineup tonight by Jake McCabe.

Well that sucks. Not going to get a high draft pick for him now. |

Jack Campbell 4 goals in the AHL
He also let in a terrible goal, like if anyone has time on twitter today go look it up. |

Kevin Weeks is a good insider.
Said without compromising his source who is very close to Kane camp, Leafs are among short list interested teams.
Kane does not want to be a support player.
Does not want to sign for pennies(league minimum)
His personal opinion for best fit is Panthers.
Basically if Leafs want to sign Kane they have to either give him PP1 time or give him top 6 mins.
Tough. |

He did mention a big plus is being close to his family, especially dad who needs to drive to games.
So thats the only gripe about Florida. |

I do wonder if 5 F PP could work with Marner at PP QB.

I'm sure there are numerous factors that will be considered in his decision.
I do think he's a better fit there, hockey wise, than he would be in Toronto, Buffalo and New York who are also reported as potential destination.
Maybe New York would work since they won't also have Tarasenko in their top 6.
Still wondering who's actually willing to give him that multiple year contract for "not league minimum" after that big surgery of his.

Well he went kicking and screaming to NY last TDL. He trained in Toronto... Perspectives change but from an outsider I think it is obvious he wants to be in the New York, Toronto area of teams. He could surprise us though.
You also can think a team is a great fit, you go there and its not a fit at all so.
Floridas PP was middle of the pack last season, its near the bottom so far this season.
I am sure at this point in his career Kane knows the type of players he plays well with, the systems, ect.
Lots of factors.
I don't want to guess because I do not know, I mean NYR would make sense would it not? |

Knies, Matthews, Marner
Nylander, Tavares, Kane
Bertuzzi, Domi, Jarnkrok
Gregor, Kampf, Reaves
Reilly, Brodie
McCabe, Lily
Gio, Klingberg

I don't think Bertuzzi 2PP and 3rd line is exactly setting him up for success...have to take care of our own first.
The only way I see him willing to come here is if he is given PP1 time(5 Fs) or is put in the top 6.
Also money is a factor...if Timmins and Lil are out until January they would have time to move Klingberg but if not they would have to operate on a 20 man roster. |

Are both Timmins and Liljegren out till January? Didnt know it was that bad. Might need to make a move. Was hoping to save Gio a bit more this year.

High ankle sprains are a few months usually, also no sense to rush him back he won't be 100% for months.
Timmins was no contact in practice yesterday so he's probably back soon. |

Thanks for the info. Tim is missed more than I expected, but agree on not rushing him back. Im not sold on Timmins but it should give us a good long look to see whats hes got. Take the good with the bad I guess.
