Trade them hart and coots for something
- WhiskeyMan

For what? Their cupboard is bare and if we help them dig out of the hoe the puck won’t be great. Further, the cap gymnastics required would be epic. We’d be taking on Campbell and other bad contracts. Yikes

I don't know about blowing it up. McDavid is 26 and Draisaitl 27. It's unfathomable how the f'd this up.

Beer league goaltending and marginal defensemen. Been that way since those guys entered the league.

- Pelle31Forever

Exactly, and there is no end in sight. It’s only a matter of time before one or both of those guys wants out

Hockey players are too nice. Time for McDavid to go a little James Harden on the Oilers failed management team.

James Harden is a spoiled Prima donna turd! He's whined his way out of like 5 different cities. A hockey player would never do that and that's why the NHL is sooooooooo much better than the dreadful watered down NBA. Thanks!

Kind of shocked York is playing. Maybe Torts is evolving.
- TobyFlenderson

Not much of an option to sit him out. Then again, Tortorella has played 5 defenseman before.

York is from Anaheim, so tonight would be a good time to bench him for Mete.

Depends on what you mean by NHL caliber. He was beating goalies at the Mens world championships as one of the youngest players there. Not all NHL yes, but all higher level than your average college goalie. On top the that he is shooting over 90 mph and accurate. That will beat goalies anywhere.

Ive watched a lot of BC games this year, the kid is fast, big, somewhat mean, and can really shoot hard. Hard for any level.

- MBFlyerfan

nhl goalies. some of the goals he scores from where scores them will not beat an nhl goalie for the most part.

I don't know about Coots but Hart I know you could get a little more given how desperate Edmonton would be.

Yeah now that I can see. It's gotta be frustrating as all hell going through that year and year out.

I expect Hart to have a strong game tonight. I’m sure he is fully healed and ready to go.

NBA used to be on par with the NHL but now they're making $10B annual revenue to the NHL's sub $5B, so yeah.... hockey is actually doing something very wrong.

they need to fire the coaching staff including the goalie first and foremost. As well as the GM. They are getting close to having this be a lost year.

They do not have much to offer for a blockbuster trade with the flyers. Imagine Leon and ex selke as your 1/2 punch.......

According to Jamey Baskow, Carter Hart will not play tonight... he's sick. Ersson get the start.

Yeah I don't know if draft picks alone is worth it. I don't know anything about what Edmonton has outside of the big club.

And I think he will become a favorite of Torts fairly quickly because he has that combination of offense, size and toughness.

However at some point it would be good to Mete healthy and playing in the NHL. He is still a young player and if the Flyers can rejuvenate his career, he could become a valuable asset for the Flyers to trade.

If Edmonton does make a trade for a goalie, it will be with the Bruins. Rumors out of Boston is Linus Ullmark for RNH and a pick.
