I feel like everything is clarified based on whether Couturier is in the line-up, like he is some sort of God. In reality he is just another 30-something, good player that skates like a sloth, and very soon will be extremely overpaid, especially if he has to sit out every 3rd game - mr4tno
Amazing how a guy who "skates like a sloth" always seems to be in the right position to defend and beat all these speed demon players he shuts down day after day.

Looking at the details of the hypothetical trade isn't part of the spitballing? LOL. It is to me. What makes you think I'm not enjoying my Saturday? I find schooling guys like you very enjoyable Bubby! - MJL

I shoud have added high IQ which would answer your question, but the skating and sitting out every 3/4th game are here to stay and will get worse... |

You make repeated comments about Couturier's skating. His skating is not and never has been an issue in his NHL career. Couturier at his best, and he's not there yet in recovery, is far more than just another good player.

The skating is not an issue and you don't know in terms of the latter statement.

Trajectory on him is not looking good. No one in the league will touch that contract without significant retention |

What is the basis for why the trajectory is not looking good?

I find it very amusing how you get on others for speculation yet you do it constantly.
Any facts to back that up? Link or source? |

Actually, the guy who has to move it off of hockey and doesn't seem to be able to handle when it's pointed out why a hypothetical trade scenario doesn't make sense and has to make personal comments. Is the very sad person.

Fact of the matter is he can't skate. He survives on his IQ, but the back will never recover....... |

Interesting….Mike Commodore just tweeted a derogatory tweet about Zadorov. “Calgary has seen enough” “Pack your poop and see you in Philadelphia”. Why would Flyers trade for him? In ther current position? Of course if Commodore isn’t just talking out his ass. |

What I am hearing is the Bruins are trying to trade Ullmark for a top center, and RNH is what Edmonton is offering for Ullmark. I don't see Edmonton trading Draisaitl and I don't feel there are many teams that have the assets it would take to get him and also willing to make the trade. The Flyers right now are not close to one of those teams, or at least, they shouldn't be. |

Calgary has no cap space. The Flyers could take on his salary plus a high draft pick or good prospect to allow Calgary to free up space and maybe make more trades to improve their team. I think this is what he meant. |

In real terms, I don’t know what moves the oilers could actually make mid season to fix this mess. They need a big upgrade on d along with a tender. The simple answer is to trade picks and prospects for this while getting a team to take on some bad contracts. Also, they can’t wait to the tdl because they’re trying to win now and will likely be out of a playoff spot by January if they don’t turn it around soon.
Holy trading from a position of weakness. Exactly where you don’t want to be. - Hextall271
The one thing that we can count on for certain is Jay Woodcroft will be fired ... |

Interesting. Torts let Couts play 22:20 vs Sharks after a injury. 16:50 vs the🦆, and a very successful game. |

Rumor is Zadorov would like to go to the Leafs or the Devils. But he doesn’t have much say.

Trading Big Z will not require a pick or prospect. He will have several suiters. |
