Was a given when going from playing glorified pond hockey to a legitimate system that actually asked your players to defend worth half a $hit.

With that being said, the coaching staff doesn’t have an excuse to have a PP this bad and continue to make suboptimal lineup decisions.

Even with the warts the lineup has, there is too much talent on the roster to underperform to date.

I'm not saying it'll last but the God awful Ducks from last year are 9-6, why is it so impossible here. I wonder if the Sharks will make the playoffs before the Sabres

Right, anyone with a brain seen the regression in scoring coming regardless of trying to play somewhat responsibly. The GM made zero improvement to the roster on top of it

I do agree that coaching has been suspect at best, but again he was given no help from the GM. PP struggles are inexcusable and only look to get worse with tage out

The goaltending is still up for debate, it's been better this year
