“Hey, I’m looking for a 1C, 2RW, a full 3rd line, a top 4 RD and a goalie….while we’re at it, you got any 4th liners?”
……
“What, no I’m not willing to part with any prospects, roster players or draft picks….may I interest you in future considerations?”
Dial tone….
“Hello?…hello? He must be looking for players to give me, I better schedule a press conference” - washedup20
Yes we have had conversations with other Teams which have led to more Conversations. We think the Conversations are going good so we will try and have more conversations.

Well all the Conversations had at all the Adams Backyard BBQ activities over the Summer. They were tense Conversations but Adams warm Homemade Apple Fritters pushed the Conversations over the Top which led to the Extensions.
damn panthers are 5 points up on us with a game in hand
seems like yesterday we were tied in the standings - homiedclown
Well the Tage injury really hurts, hopefully it opens some windows for a younger player or 2. And maybe the void goes on one of his 10 game benders while Tage is out and scores 15 goals.
If Tage is out LongTerm and this season means anything to the Organization. Go get Lindholm and Tanev and worry about it later. Especially if Tage is out until January or February.

this is not meant to be a dig
what have the sabres done this season so far to prove they are a cup contender?
the games are sloppy
they even looked blah in a few of their wins
effort is inconsistent at best
coach is brutal
I expected a better product on the ice but it seems my fears are reality

Totally understand homie, as the offseason hit July 10th I was pretty confident that nothing was gonna change. You bring in Leaders that have winning bred into them. That's why the Boston's , Tampa's and so forth are always there. Winning hockey is bred there and those Leaders pass it to the next. Are Leaders pass losing and trying hard with basically No hockey skills at all. What are the young players learning from Girgensons, I really want to know ?
Plus side, now we can pretend VO deserves to stay in the lineup. - Lunaion
Not sure if you saw this Bills Twitter thread, but thought you'd find it interesting.
>>> Through weeks 5-10, the Bills' offense had the worst average starting field position in the NFL, and yet still managed to stay near the top of the league in total touchdowns scored. IDK man. The data scares me. #BillsMafia
>>> I know we've been over this over and over and over again, but none of what has happened this season makes any sense. The offense looks difficult. They're turning the ball over at a high rate. It's ugly. I get it. But what the (frank), man? #BillsMafia
>>> Meanwhile, I went back to NFL+ to watch some snaps of the 2021 Bills. This leak concept to Knox. Offset I formation. Clearing routes. TE motion. 18 yard gain on 1st down at midfield. So easy.
>>> @sharpndpensel Predictability leads to turnovers. Unpredictability + Josh Allen leads to chunks,
>>> @sharpndpensel Daboll had Josh pass 70% of the time too, but he also gave you QB running game, jet sweep, eye candy, tackle eligible, moving pocket. Dorsey said "here's a great route combination against 8 dropping defenders. Go be great 40 times without a single mistake!"

Don't think it's a coincidence that the Ducks are playing much improved and winning games with Verbeek bringing in winning veteran players like Killorn and Gudas.
Putting aside on ice performance, it's what signing players like that means to all the young players.
