Lot's of great posts here today. My biggest beef is this is no longer a young team on ELC's sitting at the cap floor with a ton of potential and options. There's a lot of guys making big boy money now and it's the same lame a$$ results.

If I'm the owner I'd be eager to get a coach who's going to try and get my money's worth out of these guys. Enough of this loafing, country club crap.

It makes me sad. I hated Greenway, he was growing on me, but it's back to mediocrity. I just don't understand how a guy with his size can play like a such a fawn out there. Every now and then he pushes someone...that's about the most violent thing I've seen from him.

Boston is the mold, i've been saying it for years now. The Sabres will never play that style or draft, trade for those type of big players. You can't win in this league with small players and we draft a lot of them. Let's see if the "saviors" come up to the big club and do anything Rousek looks below average. But hey, keep putting these so called great first picks with Okposo and Girgensons, that should do it.

Not trying to promote him here he just happened to be the one coach they hired with experience since Lindy Ruff.

Here we are 8 years later one game under .500 and no playoffs.

Can't help but think if the Pegula's hired GMs and Coaches with experience instead of yes men we wouldn't be here right now. All hires without experience.

It's amazing how he's really turned a few players around, is great at developing, but is equally as bad at actually formulating structure during games. You're right, they're playing pond hockey in the offensive zone and can't beat a 1-3-1 to save their lives. PP is non existent.

Out of curiosity, because I go back and forth, would you try getting him some better assistant coaches first? I think that's what I'd prefer, taking some pressure off him, but can see either way.

Sounds like 8-10 teams will meet with him. Apparently, unlike some posters here, other GMs around the league think Kane will help them tremendously. Basically everyone with a lick of cap space has called Brisson.
