It is punishment from the hockey Gods that Buffalo's need right now is a coach....and the answer is the coach who was fired a bakers dozen years ago who is now coaching the young and way more successful devils.
Pretty wild, pour one out to the hockey gods tonight as a sacrifice. - washedup20

Trade idea.
Blake Coleman, 1M retained
for
Victor Olofsson, 1M retained.
Team's caps stay the same, but for the bonus of opening up 3.9M in space for the flames next year, we get a defensively competent and hard nosed player under 4M for a few years.
Add a pick to Coleman if necessary. |

He'll get games this season. It's trending that way but listening to Appert speak, I think it's still a work in progress not only in his own end, but how he plays his offense, where maybe he can dominate AHL talent but not NHL talent. - TheSabresTaco
Rosen's game looks to be ahead Defensively in the games I have seen. Think from the Beginning of last year to now, Rosen has Developed very nicely and maybe even more than Kulich. |

I haven't seen enough to give a decent opinion, but based on the video ive watched, i have really liked Rosen's progression.

I liked him on Jersey and he can't be worse than Olo. Not bad Taco, not bad.
Now do one where we get Hayton and Crouse instead please lol. |

Calgary could get more from a playoff/contending team by the deadline. That trades brings nothing to them for a team preparing for a rebuild.

He should respond positively if it was done with tact.
Speaking of AZ though, I'm surprised Chiarelli hasn't sold half the Senators roster for futures yet. Can we railroad them like the AZ of old perhaps? |

It's hard to know from a distance how much Rosen is benefiting from Kulich. Maybe it's the other way around, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.
At some point soon, you just have to say the production demands an NHL job and he'll learn there. We're talking about him replacing VO. There's a terrible irony to that.

True, the NTC makes it a difficult transaction to process - how do you convince him to agree to make the move? |

Demand for the player. Calgary is a sinking ship and they've all but admitted they're ready for a rebuild. Players his age are done-zo.
Sabres.. conceptually.. are a team on the rise, and he can have a prominent bottom 6 role and be actually useful. Considering most teams don't have the room for him this season, the Sabres could get the lead here.
Imagine getting a veteran, cup winning leader who can actually play. |

Yeah, we should probably sit him for half a game because he fumbled a ball on a play that probably should've already been blown dead. |

He would be a great fit, I agree. My imagination for this team is stuck in purgatory.
