Why is that a penalty on only Benson, or at all? Kid shows some fire and is penalized. Better not ever coach that out of him. Smallest guy on the team with the biggest balls

Demand for the player. Calgary is a sinking ship and they've all but admitted they're ready for a rebuild. Players his age are done-zo.

Sabres.. conceptually.. are a team on the rise, and he can have a prominent bottom 6 role and be actually useful. Considering most teams don't have the room for him this season, the Sabres could get the lead here.

Imagine getting a veteran, cup winning leader who can actually play.

Both Clifton and EJ suck. Both of their previous employers recognized this and let them go with no return. Both of their previous employers are quality organizations, with the avs winning a cup 2 years ago

This might sound clown-like, but KA's hideous idea of an offseason was placing unrealistic expectations on a rookie goalie while wasting 13.6m on Okposo, Girgs, Jost, EJ and Clifton. Fukking horrible. 13.6m for a combined 10 points and a -7. Clifton is -7 all by himself, why is he even playing?

Horrible effort for 40 minutes, this Team needs to learn there not good enough to only play or try for 1 period. That goes to Leadership because it happens way to often.

- they know they need to be better, hopefully this was a sign they have finally woken up to play the way they need to play

- the only thing that’s going to get them where they need to be is compete (I guess conviction didn’t stick), it’s not part of their game right now

- some good, lots of area’s of the Sabres game that will be resolved by adding compete

- 3rd period was the culmination of the season and the guys woke up and decided to compete instead of waiting

- he spoke to the team in between the 2nd and 3rd, differently than he normally does and they responded….(still lost)

- there are guys in the room who know they need to do more

- it is all about elevating compete - it will solve a lot of problems

- when asked about getting scoring up he reiterated “compete will resolve any problems”

- Benson was tenacious but is bothered by an injury, when they make the choice on Benson it will be difficult

- lack of realization is the reason for the lack of compete

Playing Benson hurt if true is ridiculous, they could have let him heal properly.
Compete should not be a word used with a Young Team. Again goes back to the wrong Leadership.

That's great Don, but the assertion that effort and compete will also solve the power play is horsepoop. The structure of the power play is total ass. Who's the power play coach? Can we possibly get better (frank)ing assistant coaches? Is that against the law or something?

Only thing Girgensons or E. Johnson should be leading is the Janitorial Service into the Bathrooms to Clean the Stalls
